Yeah, this would've been better as a video game where there's multiple choices and routes things can go.  I probably wouldn't play it, but still. 😄

Wait so in the original version did they show the rape and we had an SAO-style rapisode?  This show has gotten way too edge lord.  Starting to remind me of Akame Ga Kill.

Given the rape was a big part of this episode, I probably should have been clearer. 
 

The butchered version does all kinds of lazy lens flare shit like this to cover up the manji symbol on the gangs jacket. All the light flares you saw in this section of the show were censorship. 
 

It had already been present in the OP, but I was huffing some copium that maybe it would only happen in the OP (since they cut it anyway) and the actual episodes would be spared. Not the case. The series is so much harder to watch this way. Upcoming episodes will have ENTIRE SCENES cut because there is no way to hide the prominence of the manji symbol otherwise.
