A 20 year old wearing an N64 shirt at work asked me if I played "boomer shooters" and, after it was explained to me what this meant, I laughed pretty hard. The answer was yes. He asked if I played Doom or Quake and I said only Quake 2. Also mentioned Duke Nukem to a big pop. He didn't know Turok, I guess that franchise is dead now.

I told him I still have these N64 cartridges if he wanted to borrow them, he doesn't even have an N64! He just emulates old games. Pretty cool IMO. Fuck the new school. Boomer shooters are all you need.

Why on your phone....?

That sounds terrible. Like games being unplayable terrible.

My son got me a backbone a few years ago for my phone. its makes them playable, but some emulators aren't properly optimized for cell use and thats what actually makes them unplayable.

probably easier to buy a switch and get the Nintendo online shit or just buy one of the cheap "2000 games" boxes and call it a day if you dont readily have the console.

So I can play while hanging out in the woods outside. Lots of games are probably unplayable like this but Metropolis Mania is a pretty simple Sim City-type game where you're just building roads and answering phone calls from families who want a pizza parlor in their neighborhood or w/e

Do they have something like this for PS2-era games? I never looked into those much but they seemed more like retro/90s games
