SwimOdin Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Bear with me, sativa. Do you ever worry that sometime in the last 15 years we kind of peaked in our technological gains? And it feels like people want to move to a digital world, but I don’t think humans, the animals that we are, will ever be truly ready for it. Perhaps there will be mutations and evolution will steer us in that direction. Humans though feel like we are actually just apes who figured out this whole electricity thing, and we thought we could elevate beyond our sod. Again, sorry, brought to you by the devils lettuce 2 Quote
[classic swim] Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Sometimes laying in bed I just wanna think so hard that my thoughts of all existence being bullshit suddenly stops the script and breaks our reality. Like an outer inter-dimensional voice saying “fuck, he figured it out” and then everything can pause into darkness so no further harm is felt. 1 Quote

So many other Sci-fi thrillers/games, but I guess what I'm remembering about Xenoblade in particular that relates to this is that the powers that be were supposedly in a space station moments before a cataclysmic event was suppose to destroy everything anyway, but before it could one was prompted to hit a magic reset button of sorts that caused a machine within or the whole station to basically rewrite all matter within it's reach into the new worlds you see in the Xenoblade chronicles games. Ended up feeling like a nice touch to the lore especially when you get out of the cloud realms and finally see the scorched "Earth" like stages at the end. Only they were so far advanced in the game fiction they didn't create a digital world to escape to...They had a machine that pretty much rewrote reality itself I guess? Quote
