Jman Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) Andy really oughta write a book about his time at Cartoon Network. Hell, all the early Adult Swim guys and gals ought to. Even DeMarco, just so he can burn every bridge in Georgia. Edited January 30 by Jman 3 Quote
Top Gun Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I guess that Robot Chicken sketch with Ted Turner was a true story then. 2 Quote
[classic swim] Posted January 30 Posted January 30 It was kinda something back in El Salvador. But Americans had no excuse and especially not near the start of the new millennium. 1 Quote
GunStarHero Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Captain Planet, he's a hero, gonna tank your ratings down to zero. 1 5 Quote
KageRageX Posted January 30 Posted January 30 That's crazy how long CN had to air the show for.... Quote
PokeNirvash Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I have no idea why I read that as "Cartoon Planet" at first. But yeah, Captain Planet makes way more sense. 3 Quote
Mr. Idea Box Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Honestly, if it turns out that Ted Turner bought Hanna-Barbera specifically so he can relocate production of Captain Planet away from DiC, that would make me wish Universal outbid the Mouth from the South. 1 Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Guess I was the one and only person who actually watched it. 1 Quote
CorbeauKarasu Posted February 1 Posted February 1 By the time Cartoon Network was playing reruns, it may have lost its luster, but unfortunately, just because something is a ratings drain doesn't mean it isn't good or that people dislike it. Captain Planet was a lot of fun, at least in the early episodes. then again, i had it on VHS, so that was most of my exposure to it. i rarely ever saw it on the air... 2 Quote
