Andy really oughta write a book about his time at Cartoon Network.  Hell, all the early Adult Swim guys and gals ought to.  Even DeMarco, just so he can burn every bridge in Georgia.

Honestly, if it turns out that Ted Turner bought Hanna-Barbera specifically so he can relocate production of Captain Planet away from DiC, that would make me wish Universal outbid the Mouth from the South.

By the time Cartoon Network was playing reruns, it may have lost its luster, but unfortunately, just because something is a ratings drain doesn't mean it isn't good or that people dislike it. Captain Planet was a lot of fun, at least in the early episodes.

 

then again, i had it on VHS, so that was most of my exposure to it. i rarely ever saw it on the air...
