Those are actual saints, though whether they’re real is debatable.

There's a saint for almost every cause, even if their first job happened to be local pagan spirit.

Dazzle me with your “look up” skills.  I’ll wait.

To Hell with you.  Look at this on an individual basis.  I spend $400 per month on my current insurance plan.  In ten years, that's $48k.  Now, do you expect the insurance company to stay afloat when it has to pay $250k to a hospital six weeks before I die from something?  Picture every client being that way.

They can stay afloat by having young healthy people pay into the system and for the most part don't have to rely on health services too much. Now that you are older you should feel entitled to services when you need them, even if you switched insurance numerous times. They are the ones who designed insurance to often be coupled with employment, so they can go fuck themselves. Insurance is a useless leeching middle man when it comes to healthcare. Most civilized countries have the government set the price of every health service, and some go a step further and offer everything for free. Yes, it's socialism in this case, but so fucking what? Not everything needs to turn a profit for the benefit of rich assholes who leech off the suffering of the less fortunate.

You mean today's generation of obese diabetics with mental issues who can't climb the ropes in gym?  Good luck with that.

You eat ass with a mouth like that?  Disgusting.

Also, aren’t you missing something?  So, you’re saying the insurance company just takes your $48,000 and stuffs it in a mattress?

Nevermind, of course you do.  Now I want to see you climb a rope.

I did, back in middle school.  30 feet up.

Now?  Not with spinal stenosis.

Insurance companies control the cost of hospitals. They could make the cost lower in a heartbeat if the industry as a concept weren't unambiguously an absolute scam.

Completely ignored the rest of the post because…

”It’s not worth answering.”

Meanwhile shit for brains has no idea how insurance works.

People discussing health insurance with the guy who was on the “walk into the woods and get eaten by coyotes” plan 😆

I don't care that it's probably a futile effort and that I don't like him. I think it's criminal that a system exists where one would think that's a viable option, especially over something as essential as healthcare.

I must find out the thoughts of Packard. He's an anomaly of absurd ignorance that should not exist in a reasonable world. I have a fascination with weird, often dumb shit.

It's all in the name of science, considering Packard manages to be one of very few people I still know whose opinions are of no other value.

Probably?

It's Packard. I only ask for his opinion to go on an inane, incompetent but unintentionally hilarious adventure.

He probably should have lifted with his legs a little more often.  Then he could swing like monkey and not need a structured settlement to augment his shitty pension.

He’s defending the insurance companies. Fuck him. Don’t try to reason with him. His brain is Swiss cheese

I know the correct way to lift a heavy thing.  Keep the load very close.   Unfortunately, that's not doable when working as a janitor.   Those 75 or 80 pound trash bags are quite often drippy and slimy.  Holding them close wrecks the uniform and could cause fungal infection.  I held the bags with arms extended.

That has nothing to do with you lifting with your back, it just means your arms are weak.  Also, bags of trash don't weigh 70 to 80 pounds, it just feels like that when you're a weakling.

Just another thought.

How do you guys expect to have a serious conversation with someone shilling for the insurance companies. Literally worrying about how they could possibly stay afloat on a measly $400 a month premium if they have to pay huge costs before he croaks and then shows a screenshot of AI telling him their operating costs were 5 point whatever billion but they took in over 100 billion in the same exact post.

You don't know much about casino trash.  It's mostly liquids and broken glass.  That's very heavy stuff.  The casino doesn't use small cans.

I know basic physics, and I know there is no trash bag in existence that can handle 80 pounds of anything.   If you're lifting that much weight, you're not holding it at arms length.

Regardless, you got spinal stenosis because you failed at being a janitor and you used your failure to squeeze money out of the corporation that kept your useless ass on its payroll for a really long time.

These are commercial grade bags, not available in retail stores.

My lifting?  I made you aware before that I was able to lift a fifty pound dumbell over my head with one arm and even posted a video of it.

As for casino trash, yes it was part of my argument.   I told management repeatedly to switch from glass to aluminum cans.  They ignored me.  That's negligence as far as workplace safety is concerned.

I can lift 50lbs too.  I also don't have stenosis of the spine.

Of course they ignored you.  You couldn't seriously expect every supplier your hotel used to change their business model because you're too stupid to know how to properly lift a load.  I suppose that makes them negligent for hiring someone too dumb for even the most unskilled of tasks.

Nah, they knew all along that you were expendable and that it was way cheaper to pay you off.  Dealing with vermin like you is just part of doing business; they plan for stuff like this.

Alright, smartass... how do you lift with your legs when the bag has to be lifted over the rim of a four foot tall trash can and placed in the rolling dumpster, also four feet tall?  Remember, the bottom of the four foot long bag has to clear the rims.

You lift with your legs when the load starts on the floor.

Like I said, you're not pulling an 80 pound bag out of  trash can.  That being said, I'm 6'1" - I'm tall enough to lift a bag out of a 4' tall container using my legs without putting my arms over my head.

Now, how much did you think the dumpster weighed when I had to push it up a long ramp?

I wouldn't know, Sisyphus.  Four Yard dumpsters themselves weigh upwards of 1,500 lbs, so I'm going to go with 0 because you're full of shit.
