I miss the days when the reasons certain licensors' shows weren't getting on [as] were simple, like ADV and FUNimation having their own linear channels, or Geneon ceasing to exist as a result of "web dub pirations".

You know, once upon a time in a thread like this one, I asked what the word "masectomy" meant, because another user dropped it in serious conversation and I had no idea what was going on. I was called a jerk for my curiosity, and while I did get an answer, I felt like shit and an idiot for asking the question in the first place. This example is incomparable, but the lesson remains the same:

Use Google Search, ya fuckin' idiot.

Asking in here because it came up on the last page, but is that AXS hour just MHA repeats at this point? Their own schedule and the cable guide have been utterly useless since day 1 since they show the whole hour-long block as whatever episode is airing first.

I think so, though considering this week's hour block lists with "Midoriya and Shigaraki" (episode 28), while next week's lists not "Climax" (#30) but "The End of Hero Killer: Stain" (#31), I fear they may be either skipping episodes or whoever's in charge with preparing those guides doesn't know what they're doing.

Shame, I'd have loved to see them continue the whole "hero of justice" theme they had going at the start by replacing UBW with SHY.

Heh, I stopped paying attention once it seemed like it had figured itself out and was recording regularly. To be fair stuff on [as] does this all the time, it'll jump back to the basic title of a series instead of a season-specific one, or some nonsense like that. I eventually gave up on the broadcast version anyway, since the BD version included additional scenes.

In regards to Adult Swim, what do you guys think the rest of the year holds for Toonami? Granted, it's very safe to say the schedule's booked until October, but here's my take on the last couple of months.

October 18th: Dragon Ball Daima airs its last three episodes in a row, while Naruto ends its contract at the end of the block. While this is due to Dan Da Dan and Lazarus both ending their seasons the previous week, this does result in a hiatus for Bleach.

October 25th and November 1st: The first cour of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be our Halloween-adjacent marathon subject, taking up two weeks.

November 8th (Prediction): My Adventures with Superman airs its third season, fresh off the success of the James Gunn movie, while Mashle airs its second season on Toonami.

November 8th (Hope): Toonami loses a half hour at 3 AM, now airing for an even three-hour block. This is due to Naruto running out of episodes after #39 when the Rewind block stopped airing the show on Fridays on top of Lazarus ending their subbed run.

November 29th: Either a Thanksgiving marathon postpones the lineup again, or Mashle airs back-to-back after Blue Exorcist bows out.

December 20th thru January 3rd: For three weeks, Dragon Ball Daima takes over Toonami's whole block. Those on the Internet who despise the show will sleep undisturbed into the holiday season.

January 2026: Superman continues their third season, Mashle finishes its second season, and Primal finally premieres its new season. One Piece may move to 1:30 AM. If it does, there may be a chance Toonami shrinks to a two-hour block next year.

I think you are overthinking things a little. At normal pace, with zero interruptions, Daima, BE and Bleach all end in mid November. But we all know we won’t get that far without interruptions, so those 3 can be pushed into December and not see replacements until the yearly budget reset. BE will likely jump right into s4, but Bleach is likely going to take a hiatus until cour 4 airs.

We have a lot of originals and obligations in 2026, so midnight is likely going straight to stall mode in the new year until one of the many AS projects is ready to air there. MAWS this year? Highly unlikely, we would have heard or seen some teaser material by now if that was the case.

IIRC I believe the latest panel for Primal set it for an early 2026 release, so those RERUNS will take midnight early in the year because Genndy is still a stuck up, dog boner loving jackoff.

Back to this year, our only openings of note are Dan Da Dan in October, and Lazarus whenever it ends I don’t know what episode it’s on. If they got a cushy deal with GKIDS, there is a chance it goes right into S2, but as I have said previously, I’d sooner see it replaced by Mashle S2, with DDD S2 coming in next year. Lazarus? It’s a rerun likely to be replaced by another rerun. Don’t care which one because who cares about reruns?

The Naruto question is up in the air. It could be cut at any time they feel it needs cut, or they keep it till it expires. I’m pulling for it, and it’s slot, being cut.

Maybe.....

DDD goes straight into Season 2 in October.

Daima, BE and Bleach: TYBW continues until like, November, maybe December if there is a Halloween and/or Thanksgiving marathon like Faults predicted.

BE goes straight into Season 4, while TYBW takes a hiatus.

One Piece basically holds itself atp.

Mashle and/or Lycoris Recoil returns by the end of the year, with Demon Slayer being somewhat unlikely, but not totally out of the question.

I can sympathize with your viewpoints, and even agree with a good amount of them. But with the negative feedback for Fixed, I don't have much hope for Safari Heist.

Don't think too much about that. The reception for Fixed is mainly coming from those fuckass "animation fans" on Twitter who doesn't like jack shit but kids stuff and the same generic adult animated comedy slop they thought were cool when they were 10.
