Ok I give up. I definitely thought he was dead. In fact I have a memory of tsar making a thread and saying not many probably know who he is and I brought up the Daryl bros.

Now apparently that never happened, but maybe someone else from the show died...idek anymore.

Nope, he was one that I listed as still being around, along with Dick Van Dyke, Carol Burnett & Mel Brooks.

Edit: I think the thread was from when David McCallum (Iliya Kuryakin/Donald "Ducky" Mallard) passed away.  I probably mentioned Newhart appearing as "Ducky's" predecessor & friend on NCIS.
