I just wrote an email requesting to withdraw a job offer, wording it vaguely, but now it sounds like I got arrested

neither of these things are true, I just forgot that I did an interview and got a job offer and didn’t know what the phone calls were about, and I’m a coward 😭 how do I bounce back from this?

Bounce back from what....you declined the job and you didn't want it, right?...done deal.

Or do you now want the job after realizing what you did?... because if it's the latter, you can just say you declined the wrong offer and want to know if the position is still available.  If not, well there is no bouncing back....just have to be more careful.
