He was rather cynical but the more time goes by the more I relate to his views. "We're Only In It For The Money' is such a good album and kinda satirizes The Beatles haha typical Frank Making fun of shit with an undertone of cynicism. Quote

I was sleeping in the top bunk at a cabin my grandparents used to have outside of Beaumont (Texas, of course) and I fell in the middle of the night and woke the entire cabin up when I hit the hardwood floor. I was in so much pain (at the time, anyway) I was screaming my head off. Quote

No the only thing I've broken was a finger, and that was pretty painful so I can imagine how much worse a larger bone, given the degree of impact needed to break it, must have hurt. 1 Quote

Yeah, it was horrible. And my dad, funnily enough, was the one who was worried I might break something. Mom was the one who said I'd be fine. Little did she know...lol Oh, and I should've mentioned (although it's probably a given) that my painful wailing was what woke the entire cabin up because I remember instantly waking up and crying out in pain right after my left shoulder hit the floor. (Probably woke the people in the surrounding cabins as well.) Edited March 2, 2023 by hornedlizardman 1 Quote
Gemini Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 (edited) My uncle Joe was such a dick, too. He tried to have me move my arms like a chicken would flap its wings, and like the seven-year-old kid I was, I was gullible enough to listen. (He did say later on that day that he didn't realize how bad it was at first and that he was sorry he made me do that.) Edited March 2, 2023 by hornedlizardman Quote

Well it's really hard to gage with little kids, for all he knew were crying so hard because the shock of falling in your sleep scared you, even adults overexaggerate things when they're tired because emotions are heightened then. True. I definitely get that. But he liked to cut up and poke fun a lot, too. I'm a little surprised that my parents didn't tell him to knock it off and that I didn't have to do that. And sure you can call me a dumbass. I should've taken the bottom bunk. That way, if I had rolled out of bed, I wouldn't have hurt myself in my sleep. Edited March 2, 2023 by hornedlizardman Quote

And most little kids think they can do things that they really can't Also there's nothing dumb about looking up to your older brother...so...NO YOU!!! Quote

Per Wiki: "The clavicle, or collarbone, is a slender, S-shaped long bone approximately 6 inches (15 cm) long[1] that serves as a strut between the shoulder blade and the sternum (breastbone). There are two clavicles, one on the left and one on the right. The clavicle is the only long bone in the body that lies horizontally. Together with the shoulder blade, it makes up the shoulder girdle. It is a palpable bone and, in people who have less fat in this region, the location of the bone is clearly visible. It receives its name from Latin clavicula 'little key' because the bone rotates along its axis like a key when the shoulder is abducted. The clavicle is the most commonly fractured bone. It can easily be fractured by impacts to the shoulder from the force of falling on outstretched arms or by a direct hit." Is that define enough for you?! 1 Quote
