This blood orange I'm eating put me in the mood for some fast pace subtitles I can hardly keep up with.  Anybody have any donghua recommendations?

The only donghua I've seen was Evil or Live, so clearly I'm far from the best judge.

So I'll second DragonSinger's suggestion of Link Click, in that my sister watched it and said some really good things about it.

It sounds long dong/hooha to me and I'm going to default to this is subbed porn and it fast because they caption EVERYTHING

This is only because you know me too well.

And also probably because I'm asking in an anime folder.  Usually hearing Chinese during an anime throws people off at first.

Strong start with minimal choppy animation in the first ep.  Thank you so much! :D

I've started it now.

Has your sister scene Cinderella Chef?

What is donghua? Seriously, board bestie, I don't know what donghua is.

Oh, it's Chinese animation.  So, like an anime.  They're climbing up the ranks now as it wasn't as prevalent in their culture as far back as it was in say Japan (in fact it was easier to find a Japanese anime trying to portray Chinese culture then to find an actual donghua, especially one translated for westerners.  In fact the donghua that DragonSinger recommended to me is only available dubbed in Japanese on the site that I usually use which was a surprise to me because I could find it on youtube in it's original Chinese so my site should have it!) so the animation in some donghua is a little choppy my guess would be due to budget or lack there of in their industry.  But I enjoy even the choppy ones, that's to say I'm patient about it because a portrayal of a country isn't usually going to be as accurate as the country of origin, especially when it comes to small cultural nuisances.  Like humor is a big thing to me and I love to get into the mindset of a foreign wit, I'd say it's one of the two main reasons I watch anime or k-soaps or ...Danish dramodies, lol.  I like the submersion.

Oh, cool! Okay. I'll have to see if I can find some.

Okay, so I know I already brought up Cinderella Chef and I will warn you that it's a romance aimed at a young audience, but the animation is really smooth and it also teaches you about Chinese cuisine (not only how to make the dishes but also where in China the specific dishes are from based on a the time period the show takes place.)

Scissor Seven

Once the show starts really picking up (back half of season 1), it goes hard. Just the coolest shit.

Added to my watch list!  I see a season three, so it must've done alright.  Thank you!

They've announced a movie and season 4 just started in China on the 18th. No clue how long until we get those with Netflix releasing everything like jackasses.

These are the only two I’m the most familiar with, so I’d go with those as well.

Shiyan Pin Jiating (Frankenstein Family) was pretty neat, but I’ve only read the first couple chapters.
