André Toulon
Its almost like the gun owner was irresponsible But I guess the romanticism of gun culture is fine, it's these fucking six year olds making us look bad.
SwimModSponges
Sooooo... I'm like 90% certain they're going to put the full weight of the blame on the child and try to have them tried as an adult. 2
SwimModSponges
Anything to avoid addressing the problem of available weapons. Kid shot one teacher- this was a deliberate attack on a specific individual.
André Toulon
Oh that, well yeah...they are spinning it as some sort of vendetta and not an issue or firearm responsibility.... But tried as an adult? Ok cool
SwimModSponges
Yeah, that's a bridge too far I suppose. Still, I do not trust the criminal justice system and am incredibly pessimistic about things.
matrixman124
Maybe kids who are prone to emotional outbursts shouldn't have guns available to them. Just saying.
1pooh4u
At 6 I doubt they’re trying him as an adult. Now if he was just a little older, like 11 yo then he’d be in adult trouble
Top Gun
I don't think they can try him as anything at age 6. You don't even have any real sense of consequences for actions at that age.

You don't even have any real sense of consequences for actions at that age. That has been the news. He's way too young to be tried as an adult [ that was the big question ] -and- he's way too young to even be put in a juvenile detention center. There's nothing on how to deal with this because people never thought it would get to this point. There's also whether or not to charge the parent or parents in this case. Did the kid have to really go all out in order to get a hold of a loaded gun or was one right there waiting for anyone to grab it? Was the kid determined to do this or was the gun just an opportunity taken. -.-;
