Jman Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Much less drunk Bob Hoskins and much more bright colors. Quote
stilgar Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Chris Pratt's voice isn't right coming out of Mario. Quote
matrixman124 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I think it's too early to make a call on Pratt. What I am fascinated about it how Jack Black is being positioned to be what Jim Carrey was for the Sonic Movies - a scene stealing over-the-top villain. Quote
Jman Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) Trailer #2, with a lot of references and Charlie Day nailing Luigi. Everything else though, you can tell these are the Minions people. Edited November 29, 2022 by Jman 1 Quote

Everything else though, you can tell these are the Minions people. I was actually trying to be neutral about Pratt when the next trailer came out, but his voice sticks out the most in a mediocre way. He's not terrible, it's just the other actors are better, and you don't want your mediocre ass voice in the same movie as Jack Black because he will make your weaknesses stand out. What I'm curious about is did they limit Mario's lines in the trailer because they're trying to save more for later or because they don't want to turn people off the movie. Anyways, *mean mugs the Brazilian and French trailers* some fans got to have it all. Quote
Raptorpat Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 the part where the toad says "but look at us... we're adorable" and the lips aren't synced is killing me more than chrispratt Quote

It would be fine if it was a bunch of shorts, but as a movie? Apparently Nintendo knows this is going to be a turkey which is why they founded Nintendo Studios a while back, to do all this in-house. Jman Posted April 4, 2023 Author Posted April 4, 2023 Reviews are coming in of the film being a fun, breezy experience that nevertheless beats the old Mario film by a continental distance. Quote
Jman Posted April 4, 2023 Author Posted April 4, 2023 Ouch. Still better than the Dennis Hopper one. Quote
