Jman Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 (edited) I’d say the smart money is on Arcane, unless the board goes for the Simpsons’ legacy. Edited July 12, 2022 by Jman Quote
Jman Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 Meanwhile Robot Chicken got nominated in short form, but again, tough competition. Quote
katt_goddess Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 The way people have been talking about Love Death + Robots, I think I'm putting an old Canadian penny on that one winning. Nothing against RC but they don't even advertise if they are releasing seasons on DVD/BluRay anymore and that's a warning flag to me. Quote
Top Gun Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 What sad-sack voters out there are still tossing The Simpsons a courtesy nom? Quote

The same ones that presumably ask their kids what they like for the Animation Oscars because they can’t be arsed to watch “kiddie shit”. 1 Quote

It should go to Arcane but it will probably go to The Simpsons, maaaaybe Bob’s Burgers. Who am I kidding, What If will get it before Arcane. Quote

I think they got in the habit of giving them awards and it's just a hard habit to break. I was a huge Simpsons fan and I tried watching a new episode last year.... it's just awful. Don't think I even made it all the way through. New family guy episodes are better than new Simpsons eps. Quote
naraku360 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Do people think Rick and Morty is still good? Quote
MasqueradeOverture Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 (edited) I liked S4 a lot, but while S5 was hit-or-miss at least they blew the status quo up at the end so I believe it won't grind its gears as much / be beholden to rabid fans next season. S5 and half of S4 had production problems too. Hell it tends to be the norm for Harmon productions to burn out early so we'll see. Edited July 26, 2022 by MasqueradeOverture Quote
Jman Posted September 4, 2022 Author Posted September 4, 2022 The winner is - Arcane. The short form winner is - Love, Death, and Robots. Quote
Sketch Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Bravo to the Emmy’s for giving the award to the right show rather than The Simpsons. 1 Quote
CaptainStarwind Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Is it wrong the only horse I was pulling for in this race was for The Simpsons not to get pity Emmys? Quote
