Mix Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 Don't let the NBA draft day feathers fool you, there's no difference 1
BlackNoir Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 ITT I learned pigeon tastes like soap..... I think you guys and the cilantro people are doing something wrong.
SwimModSponges Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 Pigeons are doves. Rock doves. And we brought them to America specifically to eat.
Real_AirCooledGirl Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I had dove once. It tasted very gamey. And there wasn't a lot of meat on it. I'm so used to eating bigger birds such as chickens, ducks, and turkeys.
SwimModSponges Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I guess you're supposed to treat them like veal, pump the babies up nice and plump before they start flying.

If they're captive doves, I'm sure you would. But the ones I ate were wild. One of my neighbors at the time was a hunter and he gave me and my family some extra dove meat.
Chapinator_X Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 Watch out, the more doves get cooked, the less can be used in a dramatic John Woo film scene.
