few days ago I was discussing something with friends by the way I'm the only Star Trek fan there and I said the Empire (from starwars) would kick StarFleet's ass

but I think most of them were shocked because I'm a big ass Trekkie but I'm going to tell you  one of my friends got into say in the Galactic Empire   had a bigger production put base and etc etc

that's not what I was getting it I was actually getting at  Starfleet can't  defend against  starfighters that said the so-called Jem"Hadar spider is actually  closers a size to  a Klingon bird-of-prey the B'rel class to be precise

so starfighters or starsbombers to be more accurate IE  the TIE Interceptor ,TIE fighter and the tie bomber  and after watching the classic space battle in Return of the Jedi the best fucking part of the movie  the Imperial Doctrine  is to attack head on  but if it stays warm when high numbers of  Tie fighters , tie bombers and tie interceptors  the sensors on a federation / starfleet Starship no matter what era  would be overwhelmed almost instantly  giving the Empire a tactical Advantage no matter in what engagement

And when the fires go cold a hive fleet 10x bigger than hive fleet Behemoth will drift into the Empire and scour it clean of all of the biomass. Leaving dead balls of dirt in its wake. At the same time the largest Waaagh ever seen will sweep into Federation space and level what is left.

An ominous ringing begins throughout the quietness, after the horde....

The one, that even Death answers to.... the very definition of omnipotence.... The Living Tribunal....

All existence has ceased to be.... only for a moment.

So are his kid's books pretty good? I'm afraid to read the fifth because the first four were so good. I imagine that kid got all kinds of bedtime stories about the Atreides lineage and other things.

Have more faith in your franchise Ghosty!

One star trek torpedo would wipe out so many fighters. They aren't shaped charges, they release energy in a huge 360 degree radius. In star trek, if your shields are down, you usually can't even use torpedoes in a fight since you'll be too close to the blast. Most of the empire's fighters have no shields at all.

Plus https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Proximity_blast

The reason fighters are rare in star trek is bc of the massive scale of energy used in battle in ST. In star wars that kind of energy is rare and harder to come by. The death star is an incredible invention in SW that inspires fear throughout the galaxy bc it can wipe out a whole planet.

In star trek, all you need is a federation heavy cruiser to kill a planet. I remember reading a long list of all the different ways there are to destroy a planet in ST. Stars are even destroyed in star trek whereas in star wars "star destroyer" is just a nickname. :P

I enjoyed reading them but I do know a lot of people hate them. Mainly because his kid wrote them.
