Our office has been switched over, so now I’m currently taking calls for EVERY OTHER OFFICE while they are transitioning to the new system...

Honestly, at this point, I’m completely fine with that. I’m so overwhelmed 😭

There is no way in hell I could do that job. I was on the phone for an hour today changing insurance companies, and that was my phone quota for the year. There's not much more I despise than being on the phone.

It’s normally not that bad. But having to answer the phone for three states instead of just one...wasn’t a fun time!

At least it isn't old switchboard days. My grandma used to do that, and you'd have to listen in on all of the calls because the call wouldn't end until the operator disconnected you. It's where the phrase tied phoneline comes from, because if the operator didn't disconnect you after you hung up then your line would still be tied up and you couldn't make a new call.

HAHAHA! My supervisor bitched at me because one of our legal assistants doesn’t have a key fob. I told her I have already requested one for her, but I’m apparently still the worst because I didn’t find the time to send a follow up email today between answering calls from all 10 of our offices

Why didn't the supervisor, who is probably the supervisor for the legal assistant, handle the key fob? I would never have a security issue handled by non supervisory personnel. No offense.

Because they pawn as much stuff onto me as they can. If they think it’s below them, it becomes my job.
