nameraka Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 I didn't think it was intended to be good. I thought that was kinda the point.

Chapinator_X Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Haven't seen it yet, but knowing the Disaster Artist book, it's easy to see how much of Tommy Wiseau's status as an auteur was romanticized because of The Room's unearthly badness. Tommy being an insufferable control freak who had illusions of grandeur blinding him from making a coherent movie was the secret ingredient that The Room needed for it to be more than just a schlocky homage to Tennessee Williams. At the same time, it's because everyone started laughing at his serious film about infidelity and betrayal that he decided to roll with it and make "ironically" bad productions that are far more embarrassing to watch.
lupin_bebop Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 It was about “The Room”......ironically, it’s BETTER than “The Room”.
lily_cat Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 It was a decent movie. I wouldn't say it was amazing... I guess I would give it a B-.
