Yeah, it's still funny how this show suddenly got a tech fetish though, compared to how the past ones were. 1

Yeah, it's interesting. Though if I remember correctly they actually mentioned before it aired that Part V would have a lot of modern tech for Lupin to deal with this time. Also the promo images kind of hinted at it too

Tech could easily become more present organically, given that, if Lupin is like James Bond, with how it reflects the time period during when it was made, but the characters are seemingly immortal. But this show went crazy with the tech. I guess they wanted to make it a gimmick for this show. And I suppose Lupin has always been over-the-top. But it still feels like grandpa suddenly deciding to use the internet lol. Edited September 15, 2019 by ben0119 1
OwlChemist81 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/lupin-the-third-part-5/episode-14/.134114 Grade: "A". I am actually shocked that the somewhat predictable trope of Lupin's near death cliffhangers didn't give this a minus, but then again, maybe it would have been an "A+" otherwise, and that still knocked it down a peg?
