i ordered some things from a couple different .org sites. (pamphlets and informational stuff)

and i'm making a plarn reusable bag, and a couple planters from milk cartons.

but...what else can i put at the booth?

Composting info, actually bring in composted garbage that's broken down into soil.

Plastic coffee containers that are painted and turned into planters or storage.

I actually don't know....If you want my input, I have seen these so called "recycling" centers have their shit discarded as if it's just trash.  I'm not saying this is a global sentiment, but makes me wonder how many of these entities actually do what they say.

My understanding is that recycled products that won't make it to market or get warehoused just get incinerated or landfilled with the rest of our waste.

i.e. most "recycling" in America.

Those recycling bins at airports are only there to make consumers feel better about buying products in single use plastic containers, it gets thrown out with the rest of the trash.

If there's no profit to be made then it just isnt worth doing in this shitty world. If op really wants to reduce waste they should use their booth to advocate for revolutionizing our broken for profit ""recycling"" system and especially emphasize the urgency and importance of reducing consumption, drinking tap water instead of shit in plastic bottles every day etc. Don't buy the wasteful shit to begin with, cut what you do buy in half or more, otherwise it's basically just more feel good propaganda shilling for the infinite landfill system bc it's either going in the ground or being dumped into poor countries who we keep down so that Americans can spend thousands of dollars a month on soda, McDonald's, and Marvel movies wrapped in plastic. All guilt free bexause we discarded the waste in the correct box! Where it can then enter the global marketplace and economically empower all those mysteriously impoverished people the world over!

As if the people in those countries actually want all our unusable filth. An endless caravan of fossil fuel powered barges full of tons of soda bottles falling off into the ocean every inch of the way arriving to dump off another load of greasy cardboard boxes to rot there instead of here. The first world countries get to consume all the products and the third world gets to pick through the refuse for any valuable scraps they can turn into meager subsistence. "This is a good system to maintain. Sustainable!"

Also voting for a socialist for president instead of blue dog conservative Democrats would go a long way toward fundamentally revolutionizing our hell country that does this shit by design and imposes it on the rest of the world, if he were to win.

@discolemonade just make it a Bernie booth, the alternative is total ecological destruction.

Pens made from recycled materials with the name of your company or brand are good.

that's a great idea...however i'm only donating my time.

like i said i'm making a few items from recycled goods. but i'm not spending money.

i also contacted a teacher that is going to get me a 'carbon footprint' test.
