That seems like a completely random comparison.

It may be completely random/nonsensical, but if you take it seriously, it's interesting comparison.

Jason

   Strengths:

  • Regeneration
  • Resilience
  • Super Strength
  • Resurrection
  • Demonic Possession
  • Stealthy

   Weaknesses:

  • Low IQ
  • Fear of Water
  • Can be trapped in Crystal Lake/Can't escape without help
  • Mama's Boy

Captain America

   Strengths:

  • Leadership / Tactical Prowess
  • Super Strength/Fitness/Healing(not quite regeneration) via Serum
  • Indestructible Shield
  • Body Armor
  • Military Training

   Weaknesses:

  • Political
  • Mortal
  • Sleeps

It's interesting because you can't just say Captain America will outsmart Jason because Jason can keep coming again and again because of resurrection. It's a pretty uber superpower. You can only imprison him in Crystal Lake or Hell, both of which he has escaped. Captain America will probably discover the Crystal Lake weakness because he's a tactician, and he will research his opponent. In a direct one-on-one fight without tricks or traps, they're sort of evenly matched physically. Both being super strong and having similar super-but-not-quite-wolverine healing capabilities. Both can take punishment. Jason because powers. Captain America because armor and shield. Captain would probably win most fights since he's trained and tested in combat. Jason has no training, his victims are usually incompetent. If Captain fucked up or was surprised, Jason could win it all by killing Captain since he's still just a human. This is a definite possibility since Jason is incredibly stealthy and surprise attacks are one of the few things he's got a talent for.

Something to think about is how Captain America isn't the most invincible superhero out there. His best superpower is really his leadership. A lot of the time, Jason wins because people make stupid tactical decisions or lose morale and split up their group to be killed one by one. Jason would have a hard time relying on his usual tricks if Captain had a squad.

I listed political as a weakness for Captain America. Some people say his love of freedom and justice is a strength, but I say it's a liability because he's always getting brainwashed. He needs something to believe in. If he was more chill, he wouldn't be getting brainwashed so often. Jason can't really take advantage of this, but I still wanted to talk about it. Jason's possession ability probably works independently of beliefs.

Captain America can supposedly get by with very little sleep. Like a few hours a month if he has to, but he still has to so it's a vulnerability.

Very nice analysis. Thank you for humoring me. Here's a better one: Freddy vs. Tony Stark

nice breakdown by poof.

not sure who wins this very random match. on one hand the cap is above the peak human level in every single aspect. jason probably matches up evenly when talking about just physicality. everything else the cap seems to have him beat except in the durability category. and i dont think that would be enough to give jason the win.

I don't know enough about either of them really. I only saw the first Nightmare on Elm Street. It's one of the few horror franchises that fell thru the cracks for me. Ironman I saw a couple of the movies. I don't know enough about how he dreams. Esp since like he has that technotelepathy. He's arrogant, a perfectionist, and an alcoholic those things def make him more susceptible to Freddy in the dreams. Freddy could be the one to take down Tony Stark. Since all the technology won't be available in dreams. Intelligence is less important in dreams too. Tony has a strong will tho which would help him survive in dreamworld. And if any of his technology could give him control or some sort of mental protection in dreams that could maybe beat freddy. Like his tech runs his body. Doesn't it like breathe for him and everything? If it's involved in the dream process too, then Freddy might be up against something he never fought before, a cyborg mind. Idk. It all depends on how Tony's dreams work.
