Former co-worker, who was 2nd Gen Italian-American told me that when she was born, a grandfather had recently passed on & then 2 successive uncles died.  She grew up thinking it was normal for Italian Women to only wear black all the time.

Italian Kung Fu.  One of my former bosses married an Italian & picked up the gestures.  She nearly clocked me a couple of times in team meetings when I sat next to her.
