Doom Metal Alchemist Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Uh, shouldn't you work out OR fast? Working out takes energy, food gives you energy (Calories). How the fuck do you even work out if you're hardly/not eating?

That being said, I also doubt your body is craving just because you need to replace calories. Unlike weight lifting, you're not "building" muscles. What is more likely is that you're not properly eating, and the sudden expenditure triggers your digestive system.

scoobdog Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 How are you measuring your activity? Are you doing it based on expected expenditures or are you using a heart-rate monitor?

scoobdog Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) Well, that's a good thing. The accuracy on those things is suspect, but its still important to monitor your heart rate while doing cardio. The point here is that things like hunger pains and other symptoms could indicate over-exertion. I'm a cyclist, and I never, ever go out without a heart rate monitor on because, much in the same way that a tachometer on a car is there to warn you when your over revving an engine, over-revving your heart could cause a heart attack. Have you checked what your maximum heart rate should be? Edited January 28, 2019 by scoobdog
