Literally everyone I know gets these calls, including me on both my personal and work phones. Someone in some foreign country is just mass calling thousands and thousands of people at a time and making the number they're calling from look like it's local. A lot of times it will be the same area code and first three numbers. One time they messed up and added an extra digit when they called me but it still had the same area code and first 3 numbers. 1

Zenigundam Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 I know the answer to this question. I did this to my ex. She was really high strung though, so it didn't make her happy. 🤷♂️ 1
K_N Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 I get 3-4 calls a day from numbers in my phone's area code that don't actually exist trying to sell me a factory warranty or refinance my student loans. It's extremely easy to fake a phone number in caller ID. 1
