Kudasai Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 I'm usually in a cranky mood during this time of year (mostly because I hate the Christmas season in general)/but this year not so much so. I think it's because I have no one around at home to force this holiday on me so I guess that makes it easier for to simply to ignore Christmas all together. 1
fuggstop Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 This year i wrapped no presents and put up no tree. Usually im a nervous wreck making everything perfect for my kid. She appreciates it but its all over in 20 minutes then im spending all day throwing away wrapping paper and setting up electronics...so just gonna save my energy for that I also jacked up my antidepressants this year so so far im not suffering debilitating depression from Seasonal Affective Disorder. So yah this year is very tolerable Merry...uh...just another day to you! 1

(Technically I did last year but I didn't know any of them were going to be so kind and welcoming to me until Christmas day). Previous years I spent alone with my cats in a house in the desert. 1
cyberbully Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 It's fun and even better since mom came down to kick it with the kids....She does all the stuff I don't do like stockings, hot chocolate, bakes cakes and christmas music and ugly sweaters....It reminds me of Christmas when I was a kid. Just kinda wish my sister was here too.

Still Me Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 Well....I haven’t felt “christmasy” in a long time.... im used to the snow...and the cold...and how beautiful the Christmas lights look underneath freshly fallen snow.... here it it is in Texas...12/22....and it’s 70 outside.... but im also wearing a hoodie and leggins....rather than heavy jeans and a winter coat

Vamped Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 Thats the wonderful thing about living alone. Im still trying to slip into the Xmas spirit but its so stressful at work, im just ready for it to be over. I keep trying to go to these Xmas events around town but I keep coming up with excuses.

Doom Metal Alchemist Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 This year is the first time I've had a job where activity is made severely busier at Christmas time. These past two weeks I felt like I was at the end of my rope physically but it's over now.
