3ngag3
Goblin Slayer, Lupin and, to a lesser extent, Golden Kamuy would be good fits. I don't know much about Violet Evergarden or Banana Fish though.
Daos
Goblin Slayer would make sense. The rest of that list.... maybe Banana Fish? Is he still getting these results from that mysterious Tumblr poll that no one uses?

Daos
The only show on that list that makes sense is Goblin Slayer. How in the world could that other stuff be more requested than all that anime that are way more popular than it? The number 2 anime this season was Reincarnated as a Slime... but it doesn't make the top 5 here? No.....Gate, Overlord, Re Zero, Konosuba, Zombieland Saga... Gridman? They used to request TG a lot on here, but now the 3rd season can't make the top 5? The mysterious poll he uses gives the weirdest results.
3ngag3
Well, in TG's (in)defense, people probably quickly found out how bad it was. That's probably why it didn't make the list.

All the TG fans had seen it and most were generally disappointed in the anime adaptation of S1 and S2 was almost universally loathed. So it doesn't make sense to me that they suddenly realized the anime sucks and wouldn't request S3. I also don't really buy that people were requesting Fairytail in large numbers a few years ago. I mean, it was really old at that point... the anime began airing in 2009. He either just flat out lies about this stuff or the sample size of these polls is so small that 5 people can literally determine what show makes the top 5. Jman
Goblin Slayer is the only thing there that makes a lick of sense.
PokeNirvash
In what world does Golden Kamuy not make a lick of sense to either of you?
Jman
Hey I want SSSS Gridman on the block, so don’t ask me. It and Goblin Slayer are the only two shows I’m consistently following, well that and whatever antics are in Zombieland Saga this week. And who requested Part V of Lupin when Part IV was kind of a ratings flop? Yeah, I’m confused. I mean Slayer is obvious, it’s the most watched sub in every state, but the rest have me scratch my head.

I mean, I've never seen it or heard anyone even mention it. It's that whole issue of ... it's not popular and it wasn't critically well received... so why put it on Toonami? It needs to at least have 1 of the 2 qualities. The plot summary on it in no way makes me think it would be a good idea. BC, TG, Akame, Boruto, Naruto... they're not critically well respected but hey, they're popular. It makes sense to air them. And I refuse to believe there's more than 10 people out there clamoring for more Lupin on Toonami. Gridman may not even be a top 10 show this season but it at least found a way to get its name out there... through thicccc waifus =P

Blatch
Violet Evergarden is confusing just because Netflix has it locked up. It would be an interesting (and very beautiful) show to see, however. Banana Fish is also in a bad spot due to Amazon, but I have a feeling Sentai is eventually going to license it after enough time. The other three choices are pretty cut and dry, but I wouldn't mind seeing any of these on the block.
OwlChemist81
I have a strange feeling Banana Fish may actually go to Viz, which of course increases its chances of being on Toonami exponentially!

I think after that exponential increase its chances are still about..... 5 percent. But hey, PTE proves anything is possible.

Because they publish the manga? That's not a bad theory, but Sentai is the one who often gets Amazon shows that go unlicensed for a while, like Dive!! and Scum's Wish. Speaking of Viz, my gut thought they might get Planet With just for the sole reason that it's one of the year's most critically-acclaimed shows, popularity be damned. But since they didn't announce any show licenses at the recent anime con in NYC, I assume nothing is in the cards. Barebones mid-2020 release from CR released to no fanfare, here we come. Jman
Looks like DeMarco amended the list to include SAO and Gridman.
Daos
Those two make a bit more sense for people to actually be requesting. I don't believe for one second that Lupin and Golden Kamuy are more requested than Gate, Overlord, Made in Abyss, Darling in the Franxx, RE Zero, Slime and about 10 random ecchi's.
The1gairon
... Violet Evergarden?? Granted, it does have some action, but that's not what people remember it for. It's not called Violent Evergarden, is it? SSSS.Gridman seems perfect. A digestible, entertaining, nostalgia-themed adaptation of the Super Squad mech vs. kaiju series, only animated, with new characters and lore, has a dub, and is only 13 episodes long. As opposed to anything in GUNDAM, I am never lost watching SSSS.Gridman and can understand exactly what is going on at every moment.
