Due to bad air quality from the California fires. Honestly it's been like this for like a week. At some points the sun looked red from the smoke. But idk I just happy I got to sleep in today. I don't think they fires are that bad in my half in Cali, I think they are worst in the south.

Edit: Apparently the fire is stronger here that I realized. But no one is gonna really do anything so idk.

this girl was on the news talking about watching her dad run into the house last minute, the seeing the kitchen roof collapse.

she sat there blowing the horn for a few minutes, realized he wasnt coming back, put the car inreverse, but the tires had melted.

at that point she realized her dad was dead

Yeah death toll is over the forties. Did you drive a car today? Do you know how many cars kill people? What about eat a cheeseburger? Do you know that heart disease is the number one killer of Americans?

IE (socal) here. We have clear blue skies.

For now. 😞

Well at least not all of California is burning down. I'm learning that more schools across the bay area were closed. Its hard to just kinda be in a scenario where others are suffering at the same time. I'm trying to make the best of the situation. I walk 40 minutes to get home from school if I don't want to wait for the bus for an hour. After my night class at 9 last night, it was really dark outside, but I could still smell and see haze in the sky. It was really bizarre. On top of that I was smoking walking home which made it easier to get through all of it.

we had a few days up here in portland like that where it looks like theres a filter in the sky. it was from all the state wide fires. seen some of the video of that paradise fire, looks like they are driving through straight to hell.

Yeah some of those are the worst, craziest situations. I have no complaints at all of my situation, but don't know really how to respond for others.

yeah i picked the worst week to go there and see friends this summer. can't imagine what the air is like further south right now though.

on the flip side, it is snowing here.

It's pretty nice by the border. All the fires are north of me in the gentrified areas. Take that, wealthy people!
