Annual reviews

It's that time of year, where we quantify our colleagues performances based upon a subjective understanding of how well they performed against loosely defined expectations.

I tend to review positively and of the 30 people reporting to me, I take the time to detail out how they've done and limit the negative feedback, as I have biweekly 1:1s so they should pretty much know where they are at in my eyes.

This year tho, my concern is merit increases... As I don't know how much is available and that sucks.
