We have a lot of limbs down. A day's worth of yard work tomorrow. The power only went off for a few minutes. Over 300k people without power. We were lucky with this one. No property damage. Just limbs down. Still raining and still windy though.

nothing's happened here so far

I think it's about played out now. I haven't even watched the weather this morning. I am still in shock that we woke up and still had power.

We were about 200 miles north of where it made landfall.

I know some folks in Florida who lost everything. We were fortunate here though.

Just a lot of yard work tomorrow. But we have enough people, so it shouldn't take too long to get the mess cleaned up.

Still windy and rainy at the moment. So cleanup will have to wait til tomorrow.

Thanks. I had a friend lose his house and everything in it in Florida.

I never heard a thing last night. I went to bed early, thinking I would wake up to a power outage, but we made it through it, relatively unscathed. Just a lot of raking and picking up limbs tomorrow.

you'd never see a hurricane or a tornado. but you'd have blizzard storms and black ice on the roads in winter

I would love to see snow in the winter. Instead of gnats and mosquitoes.

I literally slept through tornado sirens two days ago if it makes you feel any better

Yeah. The bats will eat them here too, but there's more bugs than bats.

I got really lucky this summer and had a bunch of bats living in the roof of my house. they kept a lot of the mosquitos away or dead :D
