Jane's death in Breaking Bad

I remember being so shocked and sad when it happened. Rewatching the series now, all I can think is that the junkie bitch deserved it.

I mean...it wasn’t the biggest shocker of the series. She was a junkie bitch...

She brought it on herself. Walt just watching her die.....that was cold-blooded and fucked up as Hell. Also, this belongs to a different folder. Like the Television folder.

That is the kind of sentiment that the show relies on to test how far they’d be willing to go with cheering for Walt. Where some would find a drug addict overdosing to be good or would have no sympathy for someone addicted to drugs, but could find themselves horrified at Walt staring at her as she died. 

But aside from Walt using this moment to decide to be a complete dick for the rest of the series, the ultimate goal for Jane kicking the bucket was to kickstart the show’s trend of making Jesse suffer at all costs.

It was at that point the show made it clear Walt was gonna be a total pos for the rest of the series 😬
