Area Codes

In a world where no one stays in the same place long, I enjoy holding on to mine.

It represents the fact that i pulled thru and maintained the same # for so many years. I changed the prefix awhile ago but its pretty much the same number. (The tmobile girl was nice enuff to only change 3 #s when i asked to change it)

I like that when i start texting someone new i can look up where theyre from. I almost dont like talking to people with this city's area code. Guys from round here are so freakin grimey.

When someone new has the same area code, its a great discussion about home.

I miss Charleston and hope to one day go back when my kid is older...my area code reminds me of my roots and keeps me grounded.

Its also cool that my kids dad has the same area code even tho hes from a different one. Reminds me of where we met and made my kid. Our kid was also born there. And i think he keeps the number so we can always contact him. Or i like to think that.

OMG, can your life get any worse......Please, ki......kiss your daughter for her estranged father that will someday change his number and your only contact will be a child support deposit.

I have an area code from a place I’ve never lived.

Me too. I bought a refurbished phone online back in 09 and it came with a phone number w the area code of a state I never lived in. Still have that random number, I enjoy it
