Irl when 2 clownfish of the same sex are the only ones left in an anemone colony, one will change sex to be able to reproduce. In nature, young nemo wouldn't go on any journeys, he would just have sex with his father who would now be a ladyfish. You dont really want to pick finding nemo apart factually
