I have yet to watch it, it's really popular and I've heard lots of good things about the series. I've just never been one to watch anime about sports or cooking or games. There is one exception to that rule that I recently watched and enjoyed. But other than that I dunno. Maybe I'll watch it at some point, but I have many other things on my watch list.

It's probably one of the top 10 multi-season series that has come out of Japan in the last 5 years.

People warn you not to watch this show hungry, but that's a lie. It doesn't matter if you ate twenty minutes ago or right then, it's like your stomach instantly becomes empty while watching and then it's torture seeing all the food you can't have.

Oh yea. I literally prep food for the show when I know it's about to be subbed and stream-able.

I didn't check out the OVA, so apparently all 10 Elites were introduced already, so this season puts me a bit out of the loop.

You really didn't miss much in the OVAs.  So jump in.

 

This last episode really turned things on its head.  I've enjoyed the whole series, but have still been fairly meh about most of it.  This is the first time I've really sat up and was glued to the screen, and am actually excited about the next episode.

i have yet to watch season 3 or that OVA. it's on the list though, mostly i've been keeping up with the manga release and reading scans.

I preferred watching the ovas before season 3 just to see the Elite 10's personalities introduced.
