Zenigundam
That the NES is truly the best video game system ever. Lots of high quality games and they were made to be challenging instead of holding your hand like a lot of modern games tend to do.
André Toulon
This was the era when true gamers were molded. The youtubing trash that spends an hour with a playthrough of some shitty app games couldn't handle NES gaming physically or mentally.
BUU8800
In my day we traveled FIFTEEN MILES to school through the snow, with no shoes, uphill, both ways!
André Toulon
Yeah, but you probably had a spawn point, and open area saving along with random auto-saves just in case you were too lazy to open the menu.

I had an NES since I was about three years old, and I don't think I beat a single NES game until I was a teenager.
molarbear
My Grandparents bought my brother and I one as a joint present when I was like 4, I don't think I ever actually beat any games until I was a teenager.

Woohoo, just like me! I think Mega Man 2 was my first NES game beat. What was yours? EDIT: I see Sega is in your sig, so you probably beat a bunch of Sega games before you were a teen, huh? >_>
Distortedreasoning
definitely can make an argument for nes to be best console. lots of good, well designed games on that console with many games that are still fun to play today. the only knock against it would be the large amount of crap titles but thats true with most consoles. bnmjy
NES games were still made easier than their Famicom versions; the original Super Mario Brothers 2 was never released on the NES and in Super Mario Brothers 3, Mario would always become small after only one hit while using any item. HardcoreHunter
I think the Snes was better overall. It also had the super gameboy addon to play those games, and super mario Allstars which allowed you to play upgraded versions of nes mario games.
