Just turned in the rough draft of my thesis.

When my arms are tired, I take a couple ibuprofen and lay off masturbation for a couple days.

Please explain to me why your arms are tired due to turning in the rough draft of your thesis. I'm not clever enough to understand.

Did you write it longhand with both hands? Did you do ten pushups after every page? Did you pleasure your advisor?

Help me, man.

It was actually sort of a non sequitur; I had nothing else to add that was on topic, so I simply drove the thread in an unrelated direction.

I never knew turning in rough drafts was a thing for a thesis

It is. It's not something you get graded for. It's mostly there to make sure you're taking your time, and your advisor is always at least providing insight and comments to keep the work focused and solid.

That being said, while MA and PhD friends are focused on academic work, mine's a creative thesis (a novel), so there are fundamental differences in how finished the work is expected to be.
