EyeOfPain Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Full game came out today, and it's pretty darn fun. Had some trouble with one of the first two quests, but I just had to go out and explore to get it done. PS4 Demo So, I don't know much about the Drakengard franchise, but this sounded interesting enough to put in a pre-order on Amazon. A demo for this game was released a few days ago, and after a couple playthroughs, I'm kinda looking forward to it's release. The first DLC for NieR: Automata (3C3C1D119440927) is out, and the price is $13.99 on both PS4 and Steam. Quote
PenguinBoss Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 I played it earlier today. I liked it, but it felt a lot different from the original Nier. While the original wasn't great from a gameplay perspective, it had great atmosphere, and I don't know if Automata will live up to that based on the demo. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 I played it earlier today. I liked it, but it felt a lot different from the original Nier. While the original wasn't great from a gameplay perspective, it had great atmosphere, and I don't know if Automata will live up to that based on the demo. Based on what I've heard, the goal with Automata is to maintain the aesthetic of NieR, but take the complaints/criticisms about the gameplay and compensate for what the original was lacking, or something along those lines. EyeOfPain Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 I'm looking forward to Near: A Tomato even more. Also, I already started a thread for this. Quote
SwimModSponges Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I heard you get to see that lady's butthole. That's pretty cool. Quote

EyeOfPain Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 NieR finally came out today, and I've been enjoying it. The visuals and music are beautiful, and the game play is a lot of fun once you get used to combat. Moving around in the desert area is especially cool. Quote
Satou Kazuma Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 pretty sure this was resolved as photoshopped. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 This seems to be very important to some people: Quote
Satou Kazuma Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This seems to be very important to some people: god damn! urgh, i'll have to buy this when i have the funds again. i'm pretty much broke after that tax refund spending spree. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 god damn! urgh, i'll have to buy this when i have the funds again. i'm pretty much broke after that tax refund spending spree. I am enjoying it quite a bit. Played about 6 and a half hours today, until the game crashed on me, and haven't even gotten any different costumes that show off 2B's features. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted March 29, 2017 Author Posted March 29, 2017 So, I finished all the main endings (A-E), and this game was fucking amazing. Still working on a few quests I missed the first time around, but I probably won't 100% everything in the game. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 How was the butthole? The booty was nice, but I think the butthole ended up being shopped. Quote
Juice McKenzie Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I've never heard of the franchise until a couple of weeks ago when my friends were talking about it. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 I've never heard of the franchise until a couple of weeks ago when my friends were talking about it. After finishing the story endings for Automata, I went back and started playing NieR for the first time. I haven't gotten very far, but it is a much less fun game as far as combat is concerned. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 Couple articles from some of the artists who worked on NieR:Automata: http://eu.square-enix.com/en/blog/making-2b-nierautomata https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2017/04/20/an-exclusive-look-at-the-creation-of-nierautomatas-beautiful-concept-art/ Quote
EyeOfPain Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 The first DLC for NieR: Automata came out today: 3C3C1D119440927 (PSN/Steam) The price is $13.99 on both PS4 and PC. In addition to the DLC content, you also get a new Pod skin (at least on PS4), amazarashi. I believe it's a tribute to the band. If you're a PlayStation Plus member, the Day One Edition bundle is also on sale for the next week, at $41.99: link Quote
Rumb0 Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 I beat it once and got Ending A. I am now going for that platinum trophy. I might get it on PC after that. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted May 27, 2017 Author Posted May 27, 2017 I beat it once and got Ending A. I am now going for that platinum trophy. I might get it on PC after that. You've got about 4 more "endings" to get before you really "beat" it. Quote
Rumb0 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Playing as 9S is wack. I'm sick of the hacking mini games. Quote
EyeOfPain Posted June 3, 2017 Author Posted June 3, 2017 Playing as 9S is wack. I'm sick of the hacking mini games. They take a while to get used to. I hated them at first too, but by the end of the game, I had cleared all but maybe one of them. It seemed to help when I stopped trying to dodge individual bullets, and started looking for patterns in how to avoid the bullet storms. Quote
Satou Kazuma Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 FYI: downloaded SinoAlice for my phone. Made by the same creator of NieR: Automata. You'll have to create a Japanese google account to even access the store. Since it's not available for North America/Europe for now. Quote
