  1. While Freud and Jung were largely debunked in their lifetimes as psychiatrists, much of their work identifying symbolic representations is still invaluable today. Prior to them, symbolism was rarely treated as its own language and dream interpretation was concurrently treated in superstitious and direct terms.
  2. I care more about this cat than I do Barbara Bush.
  3. Wrong ..... Bush?
  4. No shit, sherlock. So, were you dodging bullets all the way to your car?
  5. While true, how she regards females is dependent to their race. For instance, Disco is power breed, so, naturally, she imagines Disco lays around the house all day like a welfare queen. Since you're white, you're impotent just like all white people are in her mind. She really is a racist.
  6. That's fine with me. One of the most striking things for me about Trump is the inconsistency with which he acts. The tweets are very clearly formulated to sound much like the exec Trump played on TV which, in turn, was something he created for the show based on a lot of different stereotypes for the prototypical Wall Street Alpha that have existed since the days of the Robber Barons. But, when he's in a room full of other people and is expected to offer a intellectual sounding triviality that makes it sound like he understands the conversation, he inevitably flip flops or completely goes off script. There's no question he's intellectually inferior; the questions come about as to how he utilizes the alpha prototype effectively. The kind of guy your ex-bf and all the other alphas like him is a last, heavily diminished vestige of the feudal nobleman. We might have lost all the social programming that trained us to be serfs to the local land lord, but in some respects the presentation of wealth and arrogance are still somewhat attractive to "commoners" who see themselves exerting power over their own condition. Trump has raised this kind of pastiche to ironically comical proportions, however it's not as stupid as it might seem. Unlike a true nobleman, a robber baron can use his wealth to influence society in indirect ways without incurring the direct responsibility of controlling that society. In that respect, other morally repugnant people like Carnegie, Rockefeller, Huntington, Stanford(, and so on) have been able to minimize the direct impact of their tyrannically leadership through major public works such as establishing universities, creating massive philanthropical organizations and building large public spaces. The Trump in your dream adheres to the archetype. He's an icon, where the symbolic vestiges of his power are in the notebooks he keeps and the autoerotic nature of his murder. He doesn't appear to ever be completely naked, and that is symbolic of the fact that the man himself is a reflection of what he is wearing rather than the other way around. The actual Trump doesn't adhere to this well coifed facade partly because he's not particularly good at playing the part and partly because it's anachronistic, yet the image still holds power because people are drawn to the ostentatious display itself. Of particular interest is the juxtaposition of his notes chaotically spread throughout the room while his hanging corpse remains more or less complete and contained. I think it reasonable to consider that the archetype has such a history that it's ingrained in our psyches and, in the absence of feudalism, still holds significant value as a symbol. Although you ended up leaving the room, you still removed the one element of disorder in the scene thus restoring the "powerful" trump. Actually, your effort to control that image goes all the way back to you leaving to shower before he can be completely exposed. At a superficial level, you and the Russian represent the dueling forces of home and abroad seeking to contain and utilize that power. The Russian seeks to destabilize by destroying the icon, and you stabilize by restoring it. ... For the record, I'm still not psychoanalyzing anything. I'm merely exploring the explicit symbolism in the dream/nightmare.
  7. It makes you wonder if Trump is that exec or if he's emulating that kind of exec. How smart was your bf?
  8. Freud was full of shit.
  9. That is one erotic nightmare,
  10. I wasn't going to psycho analyze any of it, but I would like to point out that I think you would have a hard time finding someone who doesn't secretly harbor guilt about wanting Trump dead, wonder if maybe he's smarter than he lets on and, most importantly, worry that we'll be responsible for whatever happens to him.
  11. Holy shit. You dreamed of Trump hanging himself?
  12. It's not trolling to call you a racist.
  13. You think all black women are crazy.
  14. My grandma had raccoons in her attic a couple of months ago. Fucker shit all over the place.
  15. So, if a black chick gets pissed, she automatically shoots up the place, right?
  16. You must have really worked your charm on her.
  17. That is what you said, yes.
  18. Just thought it was hilarious people didn't notice he got banned.
  19. They like to do that to you.
  20. Lol.
  21. He's just playing with you. I've been up whole nights playing that game sometimes.
  22. Is it a terrible joke? Is it an obtuse observation on life? Is it neither? Who knows?
