Finally got caught up on the episodes I missed last week. Here's my thoughts for last week's Super -

Finally got caught up on the episodes I missed last week. Like I said before, the Pride Troopers are the Bizarro version of the Ginyu Squad. Of course Jiren and Top aren't going to fight right now. Roshi using his Lightning Flash Surprise Attack from way back at the world martial arts tournament. Nice. And a good combo attack with Tien. That guy they just beat looked kinda like Cell. Frieza poached Vegeta's opponent. That guy can change his weight, and his head turned into a freaky Halloween decoration! Ok, are you really going to tell me that Goku couldn't get out of that on his own? With all the gravity training he's done? Being able to create pocket dimensions is handy. Caulifa's hair is ridiculous, even for a Saiyan. Caulifa is this tired already? Really? Love seeing 17 and 18 back in their element, plus they're on the good guys' side now. Goku - I was blasted over here. "Conserving energy" is just as stupid a strategy as it's always been, and Top should have known this team wouldn't be enough to take down Goku. Also that involvement from other fighters would be inevitable. What the fuck is a sworn sister? Sisters but not by blood? A guy might call a good friend his brother. But, "sworn sister" sounds silly. Just leave it as sister. So Kale transforms again, but this time she can control herself. That's good. Ok increasing muscle mass is fine, but Kale actually getting taller makes no sense. I don't like the She-hulk body anyway. I know she's like a female Broly, but that's not a good look for a girl. Caulifa's transformation is fine. Could have had Kale go crazy and get the greenish gold hair and lose the pupils without the roided out body. "Then the sphere goes with you." And tosses her over the edge. LMAO 18. Ok Goku you want to fight them when they get stronger... but you really think that's going to happen in this same battle royale? And I can see Goku stupidly letting them go, but 17 and 18 going along with it?

So not only are you a hipster elitist "anime connoisseur" snob, you're a fuckin' puritan. And do you really want to tell me that Toonami has never aired any "no writing" shows before? In a rare move, Toonami flat out stated that Panty and Stocking would not air. Now, I can't speak to its quality, as I haven't seen it, but it was highly requested, and Toonami was unable or unwilling to air it, due to content. They basically aired Kill la Kill under pain of death. Also that show is an over-the-top parody, which probably helps its case. And remember how Demarco made a big deal out of getting Hellsing and Black Lagoon, to prove they could air the "big boy shows?" So Demarco has no issue with graphic violence, that type of adult content is a-okay, but fan service and nudity is verboten. Now, I'm not saying they should go and get a bunch of empty trashy ecchi shows, but Demarco shouldn't be shying away from shows just because of fan service. In fact, I will actually agree that some types of fan service do put me off and take me out of a show to an extent, like some of the awkward lingering shots that came across basically like a peeping tom or upskirter got ahold of the camera (basically going OKAY GUYS GET READY), which we had a few of those in SAO I, not as many in II. Thankfully III seems to have gotten away from that. But Demarco still aired that. I find the type of more organic and/or comedic fan service like you might see in Bleach or Fairy Tail much preferable to those shots in SAO.

EPISODE 6 DISCUSSION Yep, since the last episode switched from Underworld to the real world, my last recap was worthless. But! This time will be different! Heh. They didn't show the part when they first get there and she goes "How do you do?" and shakes the guy's hand.

There's a scene in this where Asuna speaks perfect English to the security guy to convince him she's really the lady's assistant when they come on board. Wasn't sure how that would work in the dub, but looks like they didn't bother with it and here Asuna is simply acting polite and normal with her greeting instead.
