Hey now, all people did was talk about how Black Clover was the WORST SHOW EVER, and I watched it, and it didn't seem so bad. I even came to like it over time. I like how honest and earnest it is. Then there's some things that are so over-the-top, it has to be venturing into semi-parody territory. Asta wants to marry a nun, shouts all the time, then joins a squad of miscreants that make even more noise than him. Noelle is such an over-the-top tsundere that she has arguments with herself in her head. The nobles are ridiculously over-the-top assholes and the Silvas remind me of the Kuchikis. One of them even has Byakuya's hairstyle. Then you have Yami who just makes fun of everybody in the whole show. One episode was basically just him making fun of all the other captains. This most recent new character beat up a Magic Knight called Xerxe and took his place, even though he looks and acts nothing like him, and the Wizard King went along with it, and he's basically been taking the piss out of all the happy-go-lucky cast. The fact he's played by Johnny Yong Bosch using his troll voice makes it even better! I believe he was referring to Black Clover in general, not on Toonami. But have the ratings for the block actually gotten that bad?! I haven't kept up with them in forever, but holy shit!

Some of the only things you aren't apathetic about are girls wearing masks, TV content ratings, and your fanfiction. Are we supposed to trust your opinion?

Oh yeah, we've had plenty of cases of fans asking for shows to air and then that not turning into anything ratings-wise. I guess they just want it to air on Toonami for the sake of it, for their show to be showcased, and be able to say it was a Toonami show? It's so stupid. It's a shonen, but it's different enough from everything else, so there's that, I guess. There was a shot of some guys' clothes exploding, but no girls. Two jacked guys and a fat guy. Which I guess... is supposed to be funny? But yeah, the promo conspicuously did not show any of the fan service shots of the girls. Looks like Demarco went against his own preference with avoiding ecchi shows, though. You wanted ecchi, @Daos! Hope you're happy! But Parasyte was actually good. Akame ga Kill was not only cliche edgelord nonsense, with poorly built up characters that you don't even care when most of them die (all the deaths was supposed to be another selling point,) but completely forgettable. Tokyo Ghoul was full of edgelord nonsense too, but wasn't as bland and generic or cliche, but definitely still badly written with poorly built up characters, but at least memorable. The manga, the fans tell us, is a masterpiece though, lul. But after some stuff I've read on the wikia about MANGA EXCLUSIVE EVENTS.... I dunno about that.

I was thinking they got this because they thought we needed something more lighthearted after The Promised Neverland, and to try another non-action show like they mentioned way back when, and tried with Pop Team Epic. But to put it in such a prominent or at least decent time slot, and get Gundam on top of it, and then put that last? I also had no idea this show was over a year long. That makes it even more questionable. It all seems very baffling at a time when they should be trying to get the best shows they can to keep the block going strong. Instead they indulge their Gundam fetish, experiment with Food Wars, and then kick My Hero Academia to the curb? As AVGN would say, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!

The fact they have Haku specifically really brings back a memory. Remember when he died and they made a huge deal about villages recovering their dead ninjas' bodies so others couldn't steal their secrets? Not only has that apparently been completely forgotten in general, but Haku, the one they made a big deal out of this with... HIS BODY WAS STOLEN BY KABUTO. It was clearly shown in that episode that his body was taken back to the village. So Kabuto somehow broke into the Mist Village (when it was the BLOODY MIST VILLAGE) and got the body out unscathed? Or he got it more recently... either way he had to get past a whole village worth of ninjas. Do they all have anbu-level fools guarding the graves?! I call bullshit!

That seems very clear. Tobi/Madara has definitely been retconned into a ton of shit. Then you have what the show is going to be about change several times. It's going to be about kids becoming ninjas. Orochimaru is the main villain. Nope, wait, it's going to be about a tragic story of friends being torn apart and one of them becoming the villain! Sasuke is the now the main villain! He must "rescued?" Okay, their friendship was totally not built up well and they come off more as casual co-workers than best friends, so Naruto and Sakura seem crazy for wanting to "save" Sasuke, and this is kind of a shitty direction for the story to take, but okay. And I mean I totally thought they were going to bring Sasuke back that first time and that would be it. Then they'd defeat Orochimaru. Nope here's Pain, Madara, and these Akatsuki guys! They're the big bads! And Madara was apparently involved in everything that happened in the story! It seems... kind of directionless, and definitely has gone downhill lol. Obviously if I was still so invested I could have continued following Naruto in other ways. But there's a few characters I still care about some things I want to see play out and Toonami is going to air it, so what the hell. But yeah, that's probably why the Akatsuki only have two surviving members, Kabuto has joined up, and the rest are dead people and clones... I don't think this big war thing was planned to happen, at least not like this. If it was... then LOL.

Right, but the whole deal about Toonami was Jason and Gill and co. were going to be in charge and make smarter programming and acquisition choices, or at least involved and acting like they give a shit. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

I could have sworn Armin was dead. It's kind of pushing it for someone to survive after being being burnt to a crisp. And I remember before Toonami got the first season how fans would always use as a selling point the fact that no one is safe and anyone can die at any time... when there's an obvious group of characters that aren't going to die. So killing Armin would have actually made this selling point finally true. But Erwin still died so that was still fulfilled.

And the foot soldiers are just a bunch of Zetsu clones lmao.

One of the captains is a random guy lol. Boo cgi! Looks like more than 80,000 to me. They didn't scale those crowds properly. Dead Akatsuki... of course. *sigh* Hey at least we will get to see what those Jinchuuriki could do that got glossed over. LOL did Kabuto collect every dead character in the show?!

Grouping by specialties makes sense but I wish they didn't do the new headbands. Now we can't tell who is from where! Maybe by outfits? Hinata and Neji!
