Premature recollection release!

The people in this show are either really pretty or really ugly!

But do this show and Lupin fall victim to "too old" syndrome? Demarco always used to say they wouldn't get shows that were too old because they got bad ratings. I guess because some people just won't watch something if it looks too old? Like some people won't watch black and white movies just because they're in black and white, which is stupid. Both shows have modern (and good) production values, to be sure, but still look retro. I wonder if this show will suffer in viewership for it. Though the time slot isn't exactly a good measurement for that anyway. I did hear that Lupin did not do well though. Don't really care about ratings that much, but it's just always something that bugged me is people not giving older or retro-styled stuff a chance.

Don't tell me it had horrifically bad subs! That means we could still be in the dark to some extent on this footage! I watched Al's video because it seemed higher quality than Elfie's. I did notice the dialogue differed a bit between the two of when I accidentally clicked and watched a few seconds of Elfie's though. As to the fuck-up and possible correcting of it, if Toonami is smooth enough, they could play this clip like it's a cold open for the next episode. But if it's really true that Funimation didn't even dub it, then I don't know what they're gonna do!

I could've sworn I read "big new shonen jump show" twice, which is what confused me, lol. I see you didn't say "shonen jump" but just "big new shonen" the first time. That made me think there was another show lol. I may have just heard that once from one person but can't be sure. It was a while ago heh. I still want to read the Soul Eater manga one of these days but never got around to it. Not sure why. Yeah that probably wouldn't be a bad idea to redo it. Oh I see. Well Fire Force may be one to look out for, then. I saw a Youtuber I'm subscribed to upload the ED and I liked the look of the character in the thumbnail, but I didn't watch the video or know the show was from the Soul Eater author.

The funny thing is, there's almost filler in Black Clover overall.

You misread the article. They didn't say how long the deal was. That exec was just hoping it would last another 35 years in his little speech blurb. They also spelled that Yune guy's name three different ways. Yune, Yume, and Yun. Not a very well done article. But yeah, I always loved Robotech. It's part of what got me into anime along with DBZ and Sailor Moon. Though I didn't know what anime was until with DBZ, and then I learned that Robotech was really an amalgamation of three different anime series with no continuity between each other originally. That said, this is causing a major legal and licensing clusterfuck that doesn't help anybody. As I understand it, the Macross sequel series can't come over to the U.S., but Harmony Gold can't make Robotech sequels using the various characters because another company owns the rights to those? So what was the point of extending this deal as is? And how does Harmony Gold even afford to continue the deal? It reminds me of some other fuckery that Hasbro caused back in the day. They bought the rights to the Valkyrie fighter and brought it over as Jetfire (this was my favorite Transformer as a kid which I had to re-buy at great expense as an adult, but I had no idea it was a Macross thing back when I was a kid,) but they couldn't have Jetfire look like a Valkyrie in the Transformers cartoon (and he was called Skyfire to add to further confusion,) but this meant that Matchbox couldn't use that Valkyrie toy in the U.S., so you ended up with a non-transformable Veritech fighter with a goofy looking Rick Hunter figure. http://thecollectorslens.blogspot.com/2014/04/robotech-rick-hunter-vfs1-super.html

So two fell through. Food Wars and Demon Slayer weren't any of the four. There's still two shows that he talked about at that convention that have yet to be announced. I would love to know what all four were myself.

I never did get around to reading the Soul Eater manga. I heard the manga ending was even worse than anime ending, if you can believe that. Hopefully things go better for this new series. What big new shonen jump show? Well then it probably won't be on Toonami then lol.

I found a trailer. That cel-shaded look and wonky animation will take some getting used to, to put it nicely. And David Tennant using his Scrooge McDuck voice is going to be extremely distracting.

You know Demarco and his SURPRISES (which is terrible for promotion and people being able to catch shows,) or there's some ungodly red tape reason Toonami can't announce them yet.

Well, that's a relief. Even if we can't always get the shows we want the most, hopefully we can get something good!

So, Sony bought Funimation and severed their deal with Crunchyroll. Then Funimation made a deal with Hulu. Then Adult Swim/Toonami made a deal with Crunchyroll. Hmm. I think Toonami made this deal to make up for the loss of Funimation? That's still a LOT of potential titles they are losing out on though.

I don't think that's an "official" category. And there's plenty of people who look what would be considered "normal" and "attractive" that look like villains, like Bakugo and those students with the hats.
