I think it's possible Mitsuki's fight was intentionally not shown, to save his abilities as a surprise for a bigger moment later. I don't see the reason for the rest, though. Yeah Sarada and Sumire were totally glossed over though. Disappointing there. I hope we do get back to it. I wonder if it was like this in the manga. Can't see a reason to rush it whether it's the anime cutting things or the manga doing it, either way. Sometimes if stuff gets off-screened in the manga, the anime will show stuff or elaborate on it. The Bleach anime did that a few times that were pretty cool. If this was like this in the manga then the Boruto anime should have done that here.
