I feel like Ghost in the Shell's lore made much more sense than this show.

Endless energy but that doesn't mean they can increase their power level endlessly unfortunately. Top has a new form, really?! He has Destroyer energy? Training to be a Destroyer? Sure that makes sense for his personality... And the Destroyer concept still makes no sense given past lore, that all past dieties were trying to protect the universe. Doesn't even make sense in Super continuity since Old Kai said there was no logic, reason, or divine purpose to Beerus destruction. In fact, the the Zenos, Angels, and Destroyers act, it comes more like these "gods" just got their position through sheer power, than virtuous divine purpose.

I either didn't notice, maybe I got used to it, or it was the fact we mostly had mecha action in this episode. Where the animation really fails is with people. I said before how robots can be jerky and weird with their movements because, well, they're robots. Unless the animation has improved as the show has gone along, not sure. I'll pay closer attention next time.

But Tennant is using the Scrooge McDuck voice (unless that's just his voice?) and he's Scottish!

Maka also had the weird doll eyes with no pupil or shininess to them. I think in a few situations her eyes would look "normal," but not sure what the purpose of that was. That sure sounds like a lot of differences lol. But I gotta admit I didn't look that close. There's actually not a lot of good comparison pics, mainly for Tamaki, I guess because the show is so new and not many have been posted online. Do people even still do screen shots of anime like they used to? Still, even just looking back and forth at both of them at what's quickly available from a lazy google image search, you can see that. But just saying, nowhere near "same character design," lol. To say they even look alike is a stretch to me. I think the art style has changed too much from Soul Eater to consider her an unused Soul Eater character design. I mentioned it before, but this show seems to look more "normal," whereas Soul Eater was a lot more stylized and over the top. The buildings, vehicles, characters, all look more realistic. Though Shinra does have shark teeth, and that captain lady looks weird and has weird eyes. It said that Maka is 13 and Soul was 14. Death the Kid is 14. Black Star is 13. The Thompson sister ages weren't given. Neither was Tsubaki. Those were all I looked up (well I looked up Black Star and Tsubaki just now.) Was trying to avoid manga spoilers in case I ever get around to reading it. I would've thought they'd be older, and also more around the same age. It says there's a one year time skip. I don't remember that happening in the anime, so that must be a manga thing. Anyway, at the start of the manga/anime(not Soul Eater NOT!,) those are their ages.

Which I don't understand. DBZ is an old series, so these kids would have to go back and watch the old episodes. Well, wouldn't have to, with Dragon Ball you can pretty much jump in wherever usually, which is how I first did, starting with the Androids arrival way back when. But it's still a sequel series. It's better to see the previous episodes than not. I guess Kai was shown and it was done less violent, wasn't it? So they would've seen that. Not saying they should make Super a gore fest since the original fans are grown up now, but at the very least it could be the same content level as original DBZ. Well, kamehameha or any other energy attack only disintegrates people if they're not strong enough to take the blast. So the people that got knocked out probably were strong enough to take it, like with Kefla, or the person knocking them out was holding back, as would've been done with the various scrubs. Frieza's death beam is supposed to pierce through people though. I guess he is holding back on it? For destructo discs, just check my reply to RoyMustang.

Well it's obvious. They're repelling it with their aura - their energy. It's the same thing as when characters tank bullets with their body, etc. But, apparently for sharp objects, you can't have it touch your actual body, so you need to use aura for swords or destructo discs? Well it's either that or Goku didn't try to hit Jiren with them, or knew that he would counter them. The ones he launched at Jiren were just for misdirection, after all. Presumably he wouldn't use them against one of the scrubs from earlier. Still... it's a bit risky. I hadn't heard that. I remember he said some nonsense that Super Saiyan 1 could be stronger than Super Saiyan 2 or 3 if you trained it up, because those are just powered up versions of Super Saiyan 1. UHHH NO. They're different transformations/states/forms and there's clear differences between them. Now, someone could still train up each individual level and probably be stronger in Super Saiyan 1 than someone else in Super Saiyan 2, but not the thing he said. Even more annoying that since Trunks' hair is purple! And that ridiculousness is how we ended up with blue hair Trunks! I would have been even more infuriated if 18 not only had the wrong color hair, but had the color hair Trunks is supposed to have! So a character closely involved with Trunks ends up with his hair color, but he gets blue... oh god. I always thought Trunks hair was purple because Vegeta's was black (or brownish-black) and Bulma's was blue, so mix those together and you get purple. Not everyone ends up with the hair color of one their parents. Sometimes they end up with a mixture. I was actually born with black hair, but it fell out and grew in blonde. Then the blonde got darker over the years and now it's like a sandy brown (or really dirty blonde lol.) It still looks blonde in some places if I get it cut short. My mom had blonde hair and my "father" had black hair. So that's like in between blonde and black. Though I've heard some people say that Trunks had white hair, since some anime characters with white hair have or purplish or bluish tinge to it. But nah, I'd say it's purple, maybe more on the lavender end, but not white, and definitely was NEVER BLUE! Damn it, lol. Really I'd take anything Toriyama says these days with a grain of salt. He's either gone crazy and/or forgotten what he originally wrote, or is just full of crap, and/or trying to retcon it for who knows what reason. But like I said, without pen put to paper, none of what he said counts lol.

Langris continued with his assholery and delusions of grandeur, but Asta put him in his place, both verbally and physically, using Dark Asta and Black Meteorite. But somehow Langris managed to get off some spatial blasts that that took out Asta's crystal at the same time Asta pushed Langris into his own crystal and cut it in half. Later, Yuno took out some randos without even breaking a sweat, not using Bell's power, and many of the other Magic Knights completely missed what he did!
