The funny as fuck thing is Kubo did that for that random guy Mayuri blew up in the manga, but the anime cut it, probably because giving a guy with 5 minutes of screen time a tragic backstory seemed like a stretch. 😄

The way this show lays out its plot and arcs is so insufferable. It's like a videogame trying to pad the play time hours out or a mangaka putting filler in his own story. I could not give two shits about these annoying side characters that keep popping up like Gremlins on a wet Gizmo. The main focus was supposed to be saving Hina and now we are getting overfed on side quests. Working for an asshole boss Mikey to save assholes, ones just introduced no less.
