  1. You evidently didn't see the meeting with the manufacturing CEOs and some of the other stuff that's went on. Trump is bringing back jobs and will continue to do so. It's a quick video. Point is, he is getting us better trade deals, getting companies to play ball and stay or come back to America, getting rid of regulations that cost us money and jobs, etc. I'm not aware of any racial discrimination, but as I said already, I believe the bathroom thing is a misstep. Though if I'm not not misunderstood, the Obama directive wasn't even legally binding, was it? Securing our border and making the country safer and getting rid of illegal immigration will only do wonders for jobs and the economy. The same goes for protecting us from radical Islamic terrorists. No one is going to want to work and spend money if they don't feel safe. So yeah, there's been a jobs plan, and he's carrying it out. I don't get the weed thing, either, since again, that's not even supposed to be a position Trump holds. War on Drugs should be ended. Redirect those resources elsewhere. Oh yeah, there's big infrastructure spending planned too. We saw the folly of not doing enough of this with that dam that just failed. And after that, they plan to reform the tax code. What is radical to you might not be radical to me. And I do agree there have been some missteps. But, it has only been a month. We'll see how things go.
  2. Drake & Josh were comedy cancer to begin with. And weren't Youtube Poops a thing like 12 years ago? No way in hell am I clicking that.
  3. You can beat someone to death. It's quite possible. And the way he's left some people... damn. And I don't know how the hell anyone survives some of these fights with Zoro, not just because of his personality and bloodlust, but because of the attacks he uses, oh, and he uses FUCKING SWORDS. It's a dumb code if Oda does have such a code. Well no, but they do help people if they happen to show up somewhere just as the shit is about to hit the fan and people are in peril (which happens almost every arc), so going by that logic, it doesn't make much sense to just beat them up and leave, when said villain could return and undo everything they did to help those people. Doesn't sound like something that would be in character for them, either.
  4. Perona was cute, man. Love her. I think she's more redeemable than the others. Especially if she joined Moria at a young age and she felt indebted to him or whatever. The only guy I remember them killing "recently" was when Zoro killed that metal sword dude. And he did kill that samurai... though he was already dead. Zoro is the one I see the least likely to grant mercy. I mean, he pretty much gets off on fighting and killing people. But yeah, it's not satisfying for a villain that's defeated to just live and fight another day. You mentioned Batman, and again, they're not supposed to have a no-kill rule, and we can chuckle about how One Piece will never end, but it's not like American comic series that literally will never end; there's no reason to preserve these villains for future story arcs. They're done. Kill them or at least lock 'em up somewhere. It's annoying. I mean, Eneru... fucking Eneru man... after all that shit he did... and he gets to live on the moon? What the fuck kind of result is that? The least that should've happened is he died going mad with that ship that ended up burning up in the atmosphere or crashing, or he asphyxiates in the vacuum of space or some shit. *SIGH* At least I can take solace in the fact that the scene showing Kuro later on apparently wasn't in the manga.
  5. I dunno they definitely have bloodlust in some cases. You saw how they went after the Franky Family. Which, this is something I do give the show credit for, even for all the light-hearted, largely positive nature of things, it doesn't do the whole REVENGE IS BAD AND CAN ONLY LEAD TO YOUR OWN SELF-DESTRUCTION BLAH BLAH BLAH bullshit. Fairy Tail didn't do that either, which I liked. Also, if you don't put someone down for good, they can come back to cause problems for you in the future, or harm someone else.
  6. Obamacare already increased costs and lessened choice for those already insured, fucked up and rejiggered things completely. I know it fucked up things for me and a lot of other people I know. Only people it helped were those too cheap to buy insurance or the ones paradoxically too poor to afford it yet somehow couldn't medicaid. The Republicans were supposed to have had something in place to replace it, should they finally be able to repeal it. If they haven't come up with anything in all this time then that's pretty stupid. Ryan was supposed to have something. I don't know. But, if all else fails, Repeal and Replace may become Repair and Rebrand. I mean, they already said they were going to keep the good parts of Obamacare, whatever those are...
  7. Honestly the the bathroom thing and the weed thing both seem like colossal missteps. I don't get it. Especially since Trump himself is not supposed to have any issue with weed legalization or medical use, at least. It's a waste of resources and causing a distraction. People are talking about this stuff, and no one is talking about economic nationalism and the other messages the administration wants to get out.
  8. Well, we have social media now, which we can use to shame them and shine the sunlight on their shittiness. If that doesn't work, the least we can do is tell everyone not to buy the discs and everyone who bought them to return them. A hit to their pocket book might convince them to change their tune. And if it doesn't, at least they get punished and no one else ends up with busted releases. I can't see this company getting by with this, though.
  9. Hogback was already an evil creep, on account of him just being a doctor "for the money," or whatever, and well, having that creepy crush on that girl. I'm sure he would've ended up to no good somehow, even if it wasn't exactly like this. He also said he was tired of helping people and hearing them begging Hogback to save their loved ones, and that it wasn't challenging enough for him or something, which is another reason why he joined Moria. Dude was fucked up.
  10. So, Brook comes from a time before Gold Roger and his exploits. I'd like to know more about that era.
  11. Even going by crazy One Piece character design standards, still doesn't look human. He's got horns, pointed ears, and fangs.
  12. Yeah, no way that guy was human. Unless that all came from Hogback's alterations. Moria does have stitching on him. But I dunno, he looks pretty vampiric and demonic to me. I don't think it could all come from Hogback working on him. Of course, Hogback himself is like a mash-up of a vampire and a mad doctor. Pretty much. Not that they're much better.
  13. It's like Oda just leaves them alive for the sake of leaving them alive. It's annoying. Especially when many of these characters deserved death or worse. It numbs the satisfaction we get from their defeat. At least Crocodile got thrown in jail. *sigh*
  14. Right. It's still lame, though. Damn government. The only thing I can think of where a World Government isn't evil is Star Trek.
  15. What made you bring that up? You know I had actually vowed to never watch Wolf's Rain again, on account of the person I associated it with, but I suppose I'm past that, at this point.
  16. They pretty much have to. Fans aren't about to take this lying down. And it's not like GitS is some smalltime series where they could sweep this under the rug.
  17. God damn I never got that until now when you guys said it. Still love that scene though. Memorable interaction.
  18. They definitely screwed the pooch. Not sure how you can fuck up that bad. Anchor Bay is going to have to come around or have a PR nightmare on their hands. Replacements pretty much have to be offered.
  19. From what I could tell it was a conventional ship they used to sail out from the big island ship. I don't know either. For some reason they just can't die anymore. It's pissed me off quite a bit in some cases, especially with Eneru. Oh yeah, definitely. Though I was curious about that bottomless pit of water. How far down does it go? All the way through the planet? That'd be pretty cool. It will be hard to cover up. They seemed to think Moria could recover and regain his position... but I doubt it. He's been beaten to hell, had his whole HQ wrecked, lost all his shadows, and Perona, who was pretty invaluable, is gone. I think they were planning on just putting it out there that Moria is still in power and no one would know any better because he's in the Florian Triangle (if anyone even knows that's where he is). Meh.
  20. So, that old guy was pretty creepy. This part with Togusa going through the visual footage is cool. Jeez, I've practically got this show memorized, though. Major looking on and smiling. Togusa's a good hubby and dad.
  21. I heard on the Toonami Show Rundown podcast that some company called Anchor Bay botched the Blu-Rays. Like, scenes go back and forth between Japanese and English or some shit, and they're blocking people that complain about it to them. You might want to check the Blu-Rays sooner than later. Just look at these reviews - http://www.rightstufanime.com/Ghost-in-the-Shell-Stand-Alone-Complex-Blu-ray
  22. I've got elephantine memory. I won't forget. >=]
  23. They said the land mass part of it, maybe it's an island or part of a continent, came from the West Blue. Don't know how the fuck Moriya uprooted it and turned it into a ship and built the wall around it, though. Not sure if the buildings were already there, either. They seem pretty purpose built for what they were used for as it being Thriller Bark, so I'm guessing they all had to be built, too. It would definitely have been an interesting thing to learn about.
