  1. I suspect MHA will still air sometime on Saturday. This lasted a bit longer than I expected but given it didn’t even last for the whole series up to this point, it probably didn’t do great. I guess we’ll never see those ratings though.
  2. I hope you're joking and you do realize this was a joke post. That said, the original dub voice of Killah aka the last image above was PRETTY BAD and no one is willing to admit they were the voice.
  3. They can and hopefully will announce PA’s replacement before their online panel.
  4. Mr. Horse: No sir, I don't like it.
  5. One Piece doesn't try to look like anime
  6. He’s been harsher on it in the past as I recall. I’m glad to hear he’s willing to give it another shot.
  7. But Jason didn’t like Avatar because it was fake anime so I don’t think he’d like Onyx Equinox. I highly doubt CR would just give them anything for free, WarnerMedia charged HBO Max a ridiculous amount of money to stream The Big Bang Theory and Friends. So even though he apparently likes Shield Hero (but hasn’t seen ReZero), it would probably cost just as much or more to get that from CR as it would to get something from another distributor.
  8. While I won’t rule out something going wrong between now and July 25th, that online panel is supposed to have some Toonami show announcements aside from info on Uzumaki and Blade Runner: Black Lotus. But those could simply be SAO and Fire Force returning in Fall. The timing is such that they could announce a replacement for Mob season 1 that day but Paranoia Agent will end on July 25th.
  9. A Super marathon and better still, Super leads the block starting July 11th. Just **** everything they aren’t even trying right now! I expected nothing and I am still disappointed. Dragon Ball Super reruns at the top of the block... let’s see them twist the knife even more and fill the next opening with My Hero reruns on top of that. Those new shows they’re announcing on July 25th cannot come soon enough.
  10. I had a feeling the delay was due to dubbing both episodes at the same time. That works out for the best.
  11. Patrick probably already recorded for episode 88.
  12. They could run the new episode and then air an All-Might marathon...
  13. That just makes me think they should play the episode with the United States of Smash on 4th of July. So Black Clover has another dubbed episode finally and MHA 87 should be able to air next Saturday. I hope that they held back on 87 so that they could stream 88 the week after but we'll see how it goes.
  14. Disappointing but not entirely unexpected. This is actually a more inspired decision for buying time then I was expecting. I think this is a good way to keep the regular viewers engaged and avoid a schedule shake up while they wait for the next dub episode to be ready. I’d like to see more “power to the people” airings like this as opposed to repeating the same episodes. Why does this site not let we copy text from anywhere without screwing up the formatting?
  15. I recall that show did pretty good ratings at 3AM. And I also recall the ratings of the whole block took an interesting downward turn the week after Dandy ended and Beware the Batman was burned off. Almost as if having a Batman show did garner some viewers that didn't stick around after it was gone and maybe Dandy did as well.
  16. The reaction to Mob reruns wasn’t super favorable either so I don’t know about people being satisfied with more anime reruns. Maybe FUNi kind of did that with Paranoia Agent. We don’t really know. It would be nice for Sentai, Viz, Aniplex, CR or FUNi to throw them a bone though.
  17. I was talking CF but thanks for the cool guy comment.
  18. It seems like they intend to only air Ballmastrz for 5 or so weeks, however long it takes for JoJo to return (it is being dubbed from home currently). By airing something so "non-committal" they can pull it whenever they need to. If they tried to say rerun the latest 5 JoJo and find out they can't resume after then they have another dilemma. BM buys them up to 10 weeks without repeating but gives them the flexibility to swap it out any time. Personally I think they should be running Primal but if Gennedy really doesn't want that on Toonami then that's not an option. As for if there's any hope for Toonami getting something fresh in the near future, there's at least this: They were not expecting to put JoJo on a break (maybe they should have been by now but I digress) but they do intend to air some already dubbed anime eventually. That at least gives me hope that something fresh is coming before the end of Summer. Maybe to replace MHA, maybe to replace Paranoia, maybe season 2 of Mob following season 1. By all means, don't bother watching Toonami. At this point I only watch Paranoia Agent, MHA (when its new) and JoJo and now I'm down to 2 shows I care about maybe just 1 per week. So I don't go out of my way to watch live and don't expect you to either. I don't think any of us should "give up" on Toonami because I'm sure they're not just sitting on their laurels right now. We have no idea what it takes to get a show right now but they're at least looking into what they can get. It may get worse before it gets better though. Black Clover is only 5 episodes behind FUNimation and they haven't released an episode in over a month despite dubbing one from home. So if JoJo is ready in 5 weeks it might end up replacing Clover while Ballmastrz sticks around for another 1-5 weeks.
  19. Shield Hero ain't even on HBO Max yet. Their initial selection of shows makes me feel if that's how they intend to curate for HBO Max, we're better off with DeMarco running Toonami.
  20. There are plenty of shows they can potentially get but the budget cuts mean they have to spread out their resources more, especially if some money is tied up in sequel seasons they cannot air this year.
  21. I doubt it will drop below 3 premieres. They’d probably maintain 4 if not for MHA’s production issues. They can hold off on replacing MHA until July due to rerunning 84-86. JoJo ends in August and Clover could run out of episodes by September. I’m sure one or both can be replaced by block premieres by then. As I said in a prior thread, I figure they are spreading out their budget this year so that they don’t end up with mostly reruns by September. 4 premieres now and 4 later is better than 6 now and 2 later.
  22. It should be plenty of time. I don't know why they didn't just opt for a marathon on a holiday weekend but I don't mind having just 1 rerun (well 2 or 3 depending on how you look at it) vs a whole block of reruns in marathon form. I'm guessing that FUNimation has told them that episode 87 might not be ready by June 6th and they decided it was best not do a marathon this week and replay 86 on June 6th. But then again if they need more than 2 weeks for 87 then it might be cutting it close with 88. Replaying the entire fight between Deku and Gentle over the next 3 weeks is probably a better call and potentially less confusing to the viewers. They should really say something on Facebook though.
