still...since she's madly in love with shinra You'd think she would have offered to help out sooner than this

still...You'd think she'd be trying to make time so she can see shinra often if it wasn't for shinra she'd still be a corrupt bitch and yet that's been shoved off to the side

My Hero Academia Season 5 premieres on Toonami May 8th
CountFrylock replied to 3ngag3's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
i hope it's a good one and not just a few quick shots before they say "My Hero Academia Season 5 Premieres Next Saturday!" -
I mean Family Guy And Toonami Shows typically have very little in common so no surprise there I Suppose DB Super retains the same audience because You Can turn off your brain and never think at all for 22 minutes while watching it much like family guy "Big Fists Go Boom Kaboom! Zap!" everything else requires you to pay attention and think about what's going on You Can't shut off your brain while watching attack on titan...attempts could be made but then You'd be missing the entire show there are a lot of people who view television as something they shouldn't have to use brain power on and so they'll gravitate towards the shows that they can just play dumb...not miss anything and still enjoy it unless toonami wants to load up the block with shows that are more visual eye candy with little to no story They'll never win over that audience
-
the interactions are great but i realize that's something most people couldn't care less about because it requires them to put up with "An Outdated Form Of Watching Shows" You'd be surprised how many people think toonami doesn't exist anymore because they don't have cable at all
-
and we know they never will because they think DBS is unbeatable and nothing can do better than DBS(even Reruns)in that time slot however if they never give anything else a chance how the hell would we know that? MHA S4 didn't sink the block when it was the lead show and toonami stuck by it even when they had to air reruns due to the pandemic i keep saying this but I'll say it again i could tolerate DBS Reruns upfront when toonami had no other options but that's not the case anymore and if they insist on leaving it upfront until it's run concludes then they'll be left with no major show to lead the block they can't just throw whatever into that time slot and expect it to work unfortunately i think that's what they'll do
-
Anytime you bring up toonami on some anime forum/sub-reddit/discord whatever You'll always have those people who say "That Still Exists?!" or "Who the hell watches television anymore?...lol are you in an old folk's home"
-
with the rise of streaming services it seems foolish to some that anyone would tie themselves down to an outdated way of watching anime Me? I Watch it for the community vibe i like discussing the shows weekly online with people in real time instead of watching something and realizing the discussion's already dead because the crowd's moved onto the next big show I Like having all these shows in one place instead of needing several subscriptions to watch it all I Watch the block every saturday night with my mother and it's become this ritual between us you can't really get that with streaming services
-
and we shouldn't have the lead slot taken up by DBS Reruns for nostalgia.....it worked last year when toonami couldn't find any new content and was desperate to air anything but that isn't so much the case anymore...Dr Stone S2 and MHA S5 will soon arrive on the block yet they insist it's not time to let go of DBS Reruns as the leader
-
i don't think they ever will...they seem to believe it's because nothing else can compete with it which is funny because really? you think Dub episodes of the newest MHA Season couldn't compete with 2 year old DBS Reruns?! they want more eyes on toonami however reruns of something the audience has already seen isn't a good way to do that it only seems like the surefire thing because they refuse to give anything else a chance they gave MHA S4 a chance and stood by it in the front position even when remote dubbing caused problems for it yet now they think it's some low tier show that had it's chance and failed
-
I Don't even live tweet anything because I Know my opinions and thoughts don't affect anything i know the toonami fan accounts typically live tweet DBS because they live tweet everything toonami related regardless what they think(that includes the toonami news account) because they'd find it hard to just pretend it's not on the block when it is but who knows maybe if we all just stopped posting about DBS online and never said anything about it It would get demoted...pfft yeah right i think DBS reruns are here to stay even if nobody tweeted about them or very few did but because it's dragon ball You won't have nobody tweeting about it even in reruns because..."Nostalgia" pushes that dragon ball is the best mindset those of us who have a problem with DBS Reruns are unfortunately in the minority more people are actually happy DBS Reruns are on the block than unhappy if that wasn't the case then DBS Reruns wouldn't even be on the block
-
well a lot of us can't really do much about it's placement on the block since the majority of us who have a problem with it being the lead show have never been selected for the Nielsen survey so our viewership doesn't mean jack to Adultswim i imagine if a shit ton of people tweeted about MHA S5 it wouldn't have any effect on it's time slot it wouldn't suddenly be catapulted to Lead Show I've ignored super this long however it's presence on the block as the lead show continues to be a mystery and them insisting it'll be here until it's run concludes with a hint that perhaps it'll be replaced by a nostalgia fueled pick makes me think ignoring the lead slot will become a toonami tradition so regardless of what i say or do the result will still be the same toonami desperately trying to get people who don't like anime to watch anime
-
i think dragon ball needs to stop being seen as this amazing franchise that can never be topped and is the only anime worth mentioning Dragon ball super isn't anything special yet because it's dragon ball related you had people going nuts over it and acting like Ultra Instinct Goku was the hypest shit ever but now we know how much of a chore it was to watch the tournament of power and yet there are people still doing that for the reruns... I Think Nostalgia made a lot of people believe Dragon ball super was better than it actually was
-
they have to realize toonami doesn't need dragon ball all the time....there's other stuff than just dragon ball the audience who would still be drooling over dbs reruns probably don't care about any other anime and so they don't care about toonami another thing....someone on the anime superhero/toon zone forums mentioned "Nostalgia is the only reason toonami was brought back" however that shouldn't mean nostalgia has to be what's powering toonami A Weekly block filled with classic anime would seem neat at first but then You'd quickly lose interest
