My Hero Academia is pushed to 3:30
CountFrylock replied to The1gairon's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
but rocky enough to be treated like it's the most unpopular show on toonami? -
because who sees this and thinks "Yeah we're totally getting season 4 on toonami!" i wouldn't been saying this so much if i didn't think this had anything to do with hulu

how many people think this is because of the hulu deal and how many think this is because the people running toonami are just incompetent assholes? -

You'd be surprised? i mean if it does air then how do we explain all this crap when nothing indicated MHA was in line to be punished and dmeoted this just makes no sense -

we don't even know if the hulu deal's affect on the toonami block since we know toonami had to be patient for MHA due to hulu's deal originally so acting like S4 is actually coming is weird -
is anyone else interested in perhaps picking this up? if i did I'd probably teach the black eagles
-
I've never heard anyone online say "yeah toonami should really consider grabbing food wars!" I really wanna see how tom tries to hype this up or how the promo can entice people to watch a show that's just food porn

but why? nobody ever thought this show was tanking the block nielsen ratings confuse me....why so we let a small minority dictate what shows we like and what shows we don't? -

none of it does it just screams of them trying to get rid of it and using this as a flimsy excuse but then people rally against me and say that's bullcrap because the hulu deal only affects streaming so it would have no affect on toonami at all so this behavior wouldn't line up with anything if that's the case then how can they explain this? -

if they are no longer in the nielsen days why do they worship that method and still adhere to it so heavily? -

most of them probably illegally download their anime or something(because of course they do)...I Have doubts they subscribe to all the different streaming services to get their fix i don't know why people keep saying anime's more mainstream than ever when it seems like we can't get america to give a shit about any anime that isn't dragon ball -

they are trying to sweep it under the rug and hope everyone just forgets about it over time someone told me the hulu deal only affects streaming and that it doesn't apply to broadcast television but i still think Demarco's passive aggressive attitude towards MHA Fans and him pointing fingers at them saying it's their fault the show got demoted...makes me think this isn't just a typical "Oh the show sucked nobody liked it so we kicked it to the curb" situation -

which sucks because so few people in this country participate in the nielsen survey and even fewer have actually seen a nielsen box blaming us because we weren't randomly selected to have a nielsen box is a bunch of crap -
i just hope toonami isn't gonna be without new funimation content in the near future....that's the one thing I'm hoping
-
whatever shows they pick from this point onward considering listening to the fans has not exactly boosted the ratings they might just stick to cheaper shows on a more modest budget that's all I'm saying

How is it coming to a conclusions when we already know that Hulu gets first dibs on all new material from Funimation? it's not like I'm Worrying about something that might not even happen did we all forget this is why MHA was off limits for what seemed like ages(because Hulu had it locked down)? Funimation isn't even mentioning toonami or promoting them as much as they used to on social media(Where as Viz Media Still does) so unless Hulu decides they suddenly don't want to work with funimation anymore it's unlikely toonami's getting new content from funimation in the near future -
i can't really see toonami lasting much longer if they are just stuck with picking mediocre low tier cheap shows...

people still mad at Funimation over the vic thing(as well as the DBZ Blu-rays and whatever the dragon maid incident is)need to get over themselves and realize if the rumors are true that funimation content's leaving toonami due to the hulu deal that isn't a good thing people are like "Screw funimation!" should realize that if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be seeing as many english dubs as we do now and we'd be waiting and waiting and waiting for english dubs impatiently since the other studios don't pump out content as consistently as funimation does nor do they have the library that they do -
someone on reddit possibly said we could be looking at some lower budget anime's from this point on since Stuff like MHA And Jojo had failed them

at this point i think the outrage over The MHA Demotion is louder than any excitement for food wars -
ya know i guess this proves the Hulu Deal really does mean Toonami's gonna be lacking new funimation content in the future i mean if that wasn't the case why they pick up food wars of all shows for the block?

someone on toonzone made this comment " Just a reminder that MHA always consistently has the second highest ratings on the block. The higher standards for more expensive shows theory still seems most plausible, but some things don't make sense. None of the other shows can possibly perform like MHA did and them getting precedence just because Toonami has lower ratings standards for those shows doesn't make much sense. Sponsors aren't going to pay as much for a deathslot advertising spot. I'd think that a MHA in the 12:30 spot or earlier would get them more advertiser money than Lupin in the same spot. I thought making money was the name of the game. Deathslotting a show because it doesn't make a certain benchmark makes no sense when it consistently gets more viewers than every show on the lineup not named Dragonball. Nothing makes sense about this." -

same....last thing I'll say is i hope this doesn't mean MHA is gone forever from Toonami and this is just them being weird(not an actual departure like one piece) i can't see myself subbing to a subscription service to continue watching MHA -
