  1. it all depends on how the covid-19 pandemic progresses in japan..... nobody's really confident things will be back to normal until a vaccine comes out(which would be a long time from now.....so if toonami has to stall until then...well toonami is screwed)
  2. still it doesn't seem like the budget's in a good spot for 2020 considering we've only had a single new show(SAO Underworld) and there's been no word on anything to look forward to in the near future there's been no indication that we're getting anything new for the rest of the year since a lot of plans across the entertainment industry have had to change due to covid-19
  3. Do you really believe him though? i mean no network has really managed to salvage this situation caused by the pandemic(especially not the major ones) so it seems unlikely toonami would do any better...
  4. do you think we'll eventually reach a point where it's entirely reruns or do you think it won't get that bad?
  5. yeah and as a result i wouldn't be surprised if we see DB Super reruns replace MHA S4
  6. regardless the studios will postpone the movies as long as they have to...because to them settling for "On Demand" is a lame cereal prize that can't take the place of theater cash
  7. i really wish there were more shops in the game....the island just feels empty when it's just nook's cranny and able sisters as the only functioning businesses on the island
  8. eh it depends...many studios are still confident that theaters will reopen this year which is why mulan and black widow have not been pushed back to 2021
  9. normally You'd use a marathon when people aren't gonna be home or you need to stall for time for new show(s) neither of those are really happening right now....most people are at home 24/7 now and with the budget slashed it's unlikely toonami's thinking about new shows anytime soon
  10. yeah i think it's safe to say there will be no marathon....there was no mention of one recently or even a promo for a marathon during toonami
  11. nook's cranny upgraded shop opened for me yesterday
  12. it all depends on how Japan deals with the virus in the coming weeks and months
  13. and everyday we come closer to just jumping out our windows while screaming "there's no hope" it's truly a terrible time to be alive isn't it?
  14. Your point seemed to be "this won't last forever and things will be back to normal eventually" but will they?...after Covid-19 dominated the world and news headlines will all animation studios and dub studios just simply return to business as usual instead of working differently due to what's been happening i assume that's why elfie has doubts on funimation's simuldubs continuing in the same fashion
  15. i suppose this is what happens during a pandemic....communication becomes a bizarre hassle
  16. Paranoia Agent was a weird pick-up no matter how you look at it....
  17. even if they can do that....not much they can do if there's nothing for them to dub would be pointless for them to return to the studios when It's still TBA on when many anime's will resume production in japan
  18. i was comparing them because it's just as unlikely for the NFL to play with fans this year as it is unlikely for funimation to return to how they normally operate not to mention Japan's Animation production process(funimation can't dub what doesn't exist yet)is a major thing to acknowledge as we have no idea when they'll be back up and running on stuff like black clover all we have are some people optimistic that shows like black clover will resume within a few months and before toonami has to put black clover reruns on the block
  19. it won't last forever but it's very unlikely things will go back to normal this year...that's why we're constantly hearing about the NFL potentially playing without any fans in an empty stadium despite the fact The NFL Season is still 4 months away nobody is confident that things will be under control anytime soon so its foolish to think what's happening with funimation and toonami is just a very temporary setback when this could drag on for another year or more for all we know
  20. let's just hope black clover doesn't have to go into reruns as I'm not even sure what they'd even do at that point...rerun from the start of the dark elves story or from the beginning of the series
  21. i know everyone's in the same boat but not everyone will come out of this A-Okay i really doubt toonami can go 12-18 months on reruns(that's the estimate for a vaccine at this time and until a vaccine is made...officials advise against returning to work fully)
