  1. Came home 6:20 am after working a double and found that a certain somebody left the chain on and locked me out. I tried pounding on the door but someone was fast asleep and leaves his phone on silent all the time. Pretty sure I pissed off the neighbors tho, because they heard me pounding on the door and came out to see what was going on. Tried sleeping in my car but couldn't, think I drifted off a bit sitting in the hall outside the door but only for a bit. Finally went to the leasing office around 10:30 and had them send someone to cut the chain. Only slept until like 1pm so as to not fuck up my sleep schedule too much. Fun.
  2. I think I might get a small raise. And I'll be eligible for full benefits after a year probation.
  3. They do a lot of things by seniority here but I think they try to accommodate people's preferences when they can. And they have people at all seniority levels on all shifts.
  4. They called me the other day to ask what shift I would prefer if I were to be offered a permanent position. Apparently a lot of other temps got the same call. I hope I can move to 1st shift.
  5. yes
  6. He asked if I was okay <_< I know. It hurts just to touch it right now.
  7. I didn't pass out or anything so I should be fine.
  8. I'm not I died
  9. Yes Just my boyfriend
  10. Went to the thrift store and saw this really comfy looking chair. Decided to sit down in it to see how it felt. Did not realize that said chair was dangerously close to a shelf, whacked the back of my head on said shelf. Ow.
  11. I mean our "customers" have developmental disabilities so that would be illegal. Like, really illegal
  12. I don't think they really give a shit either way. They have a certain order for mandatory OT based on seniority and when the last time you got mandated was. I don't think it matters if you volunteer every day for a week, if it's your "turn" and you don't volunteer and they need the people, they will mandate you. Some of the managers are way better at getting volunteers than others. There's a number people can call to come in on their off day/before their assigned shift or whatever, and I've heard that some managers don't even bother to check who called it. So there are people willing to come in but people still get mandated.
  13. I was already over 40 hours so I was on pure overtime for all of my double. Had a 1:1 client who's completely independent. So, in other words I earned close to $200 just sitting around all night.
  14. Fun, fun, fun I volunteered two of them to get that cash money but apparently that doesn't stop them from mandating me on night 3
