    RIP J. Geils

Before seeing them at Super Bowl of Rock I, the only song I knew from them was "Give It To Me". That show made me a fan. RIP J Geils
  5. You misspelled "awful".
  6. Quiet down mutt, or I'll take away your bottles of scooby-snacks.

  8. And Timothy Leary, no matter what The Moody Blues say.
  9. Every time I do that because it's nice out, somebody upwind decides it's time to empty a couple of cans of lighter fluid on their charcoal grill & set it off. Real men don't need lighter fluid to start a fire.
  10. And by shopping, he means he's had his eye on some 8" stiletto heels & leather skirt.

  15. Close - Hear me now Oh bleak and unbearable world Thou are base and debauched as can be And a knight with his banners all bravely unfurled Now hurls down his gauntlet to thee...
  16. In case you missed it, the return of Spaceman Spiff - https://www.facebook.com/berkeleybreathed/photos/a.114529165244512.10815.108793262484769/1513361968694551/?type=3&theater

  19. Not enough information. Conviction does not necessarily mean the guilty party was convicted. If the victim's husband believes the convicted man committed the crime, then he'd be the most likely to go after the convicted man. But - what if he doesn't go after the convicted man? Perhaps the husband himself committed the crime. In that case, the convicted man could kill the Defense Attorney for failing him or go after the Husband if he knew the truth. Beyond those two, I could only see the Prosecuting Attorney going after the Husband and only if he believed the Husband to be the actual guilty party. I can't see any scenario where the Defense Attorney or Prison guard killing anyone except in self-defense.
  20. It was 5 hrs straight without waking. Something changed a year or so ago - I'm out within 15 min of my head hitting the pillow (between 8:30 & 10pm depending on the kind of day I've had), but after midnight I wake up every hour briefly, until I get up at 4am.
  21. If you ever find yourself near one, I highly recommend the "Texas Burger". If I ever hit the lottery, I'd consider opening one - but only if I could get the original recipes for everything. http://drive-ins.dog-n-suds.com/page.php?5
  22. Dog & Suds>>>>>>>>>>>>>7-Up > Sierra Mist > A&W Root Beer > Sprite > Barq's >>>>>>>> Mug Only a dozen or so Dog & Suds places remain from a company that was once nationwide. Original owners sold it out to a corporation that ran it into the ground. And as for the original question, Root Beer drinkers would win - some of that stuff is absolutely harsh, tasting like dishsoap. If people can still drink those awful brands, they're obviously made of stronger stuff than any 7up/Bubble Up/Sprite/Sierra Mist/Slice/Former Teem drinkers.
  23. I forget what the "term" is for following a link, that leads to another link, that leads to another link, but I did just that... I just found out that a band from the 50s, Joey Dee & the Starlighters, who had a hit with "Peppermint Twist", had a guitarist by the name of Joe Pesci. He left to pursue an acting career and was replaced in the band by....Jimi Hendrix. Neither was involved in "Peppermint Twist".
  24. Strange that I heard the exact same story about Walter Payton. Get the feeling that it's something that people need to believe about successful Black men.
