On Friday, there were reports of "a few flakes sighted in Chicago". My immediate thought was, "What's the big deal, I saw quite a few flakes in Chicago, even when it was over 90 degrees".

Wouldn't need Malt Vinegar if they had Curry Fries.

There was a quick oil change place a couple places down from where I got lunch. Their sign said "Pumpkin Spice Oil Changes are Back! Limited Time!"

Odd, they're no longer on the Popeyes website - either they were a limited time deal or they're only in certain areas.

If you're near an Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips or a Popeye's Chicken, they have Hush Puppies.

Probably "Southern Comfort". Wimps.

From something I had read some time ago, the original Meister Brau wasn't bad pre-1970s. The original recipe was brought to the US by a German Beer maker After 1970 they started tinkering around and hosed it up.

It's actually Meister Brau Light, if you want to get technical.

You need a paper lunch bag. "Invisible ball trick" Hold the paper bag by the edge, inserting your index & ring finger inside the edge of the bag. Keep your middle finger on the outside. Using your thumb & middle finger, flick the outside of the bag until you get good at it. Once you have that, it's just a matter of tossing an "invisible ball" in the air, then "catching it" by flicking the outside of the bag. You can add to the trick by embellishing looking for the ball inside the bag - turning the bag upside down and patting the bottom - make it look like you're having trouble finding it, then "notice it" on the floor & pick it up, etc.

I know one that will entertain little kids, if that would help.

They're real - I've seen one. My cat was staring out the front window and making a weird noise. I looked the direction he was staring and saw something at the top of an evergreen 2 houses down & across the street. I got my field glasses and there was this owl sitting there checking out the area. Couldn't believe my cat saw it that far away.
